A. a vlocity is lighter. a halo is a brick with 6 AA's but even with 1 9v its still heavier than a vlocity

B. a vlocitys lid is more durible. ive had countless halo lids shot off or break off from stupid lil things. also, the vlocity has a wider mouth and ensures more paint to git inside it from your pods

C. a vlocity is angled from front to back, bounces can be common, there isnt a day i play with my vlocity since i got it that i dont git a random "bang". i check for a hit on the side and theres nothing there.

D. it is faster and even on mode 1(egg mode, no tension) the vlocity keeps up with psp ramping but uses battery life far better than a halo. and it has 2 9vs instead of 1 so u will not be changing batters as often.

E. the vlocity is a tad bit taller....learn to lean ur hopper in a bit when u snap noobs. a half inch wont make a differnece for a good baller

F. the vlocity doesnt have a real speedfeed design, this is a flaw so far to some but many have proven that with a lil handy work u can make a halo speed feed fit.

thats what ive come up with playing and usin each of these loaders every time i played through the summer. i like the vlocity more.

This is my two cents...

1. A place for which is stronger (Something I've been wanting to know)

2. Why is there a place for the Speedfeed? Kinda seems a bit strange for a versus, but the speedfeed is a big part of the hopper world now, IDK.

3. The hopper speed when upgraded? What are the speeds? Are these facts? What parts/mods are on the fastest Halo, and fastest Vlocity?

4. The battery life, is this with the Vlocity on level eight?

5. These facts, are these things you tested yourself, or just things you've heard, or ran into over time?

Good thread BTW! Been needing this lol.

Altec- these things have been tested and discussed enough that they are the general consensus, and they are things that I have tested by comparing how players on my teams and my sparing teams as well as myself have found when using these hoppers. In terms of upgrades, the vlocity may well beat out the halo in time, but for now, the halo has more mechanics that can be easily maxed out and teaked for performance, whereas people haven't yet put much effort into the vlocity because it would be harder to design and produce.

thats true, but once people grab on to the vlocity and start playing with the gear mechanism that drives it, it will become just like the halo, a huge it. that or it will remain a hopper with a very small (if any) list of practical mods. i think the empire b2 is better than a vlocity, but the standard B doesnt really compare in my eyes: heavier, slower, less capacity (good or bad) and very pricey, whereas the vlocity has a larger profile, eats batteries much quicker

and (maybe) lower quality in materials. i think its the same as markers, when you get up in the tournament level gear, they are all going to work very good, some are just better than others, and not by a whole lot either.

The only difference between an Empire B and a B2 is the board.

Speed wise a V35 halo is better than the Vlocity..
Halos also have ripdrives which is a big plus over the Vlocity

Get a good chip for the VLocity and you do not need a rip drive, as it will spin backwards with a single push on the touchbutton.

With the new chips out for the VLocity I am 100% pro VLocity. No unneeded modes, even faster, great one-touch unjamming which makes ripdrive unnecessary and longer battery live. I am a satisfied customer.

The only thing that bugs me is that there are no white shells for the VLocity yet...

What about when your battery dies (note that even a brand new battery can be practically dead - has happened to me several times before) - or the electronics die (I've had several evoII's die, seen team-mates halo electronics die). **** happens, and I'd rather have a mechanical backup to get me through a game.

Now that my team has switched to the VLocity, this is the main thing I'm worried about - the rip drive has saved me several times, in situations where an electronic solution simply would not have worked.

Halo / Reloader vs. Vlocity:
- Halo / Reloader = years proven performance, less expensive, more dependable.
- Boards, batteries, motors do stop working. A rip drive could save your tournament.
- Vlocity has very short battery life, software issues, cost more, no rip drive.

The only reason Vlocity is faster stock is because it uses TWO 9-volts totalling 18v. Halo/Reloader will feed just as fast using a power source with 9.6 voltage (high end Nimh 9-volts, e2s or pack), increasing the bps up to 33% in Halo/Reloader or even Pulse versus cheap alkaline AAs at only 9.0v. Using a good battery power source is like putting racing fuel in your Corvette. Lol.

Good luck.
