I've heard good things about gruntbull, but they've gotten too much good press lately, and they went from 5-7 working days to 6 weeks.
I've seen fireball mountain destroy a couple of timmies and egos, and their customer service on this was less than cordial in dealing with the people who had their guns ruined. This was a couple of years ago, so they might have gotten their act together since then.
PBcustomz does decent work, at a pretty good price.
in terms of the quote price, and the pictures of the anno jobs that I've seen lately, I sent my raw half mill that Jared milled off to gruntbull. I just hope I get it back before I take a break for the winter.

Can you PM me your Order number, the only DC Marker I have on file that we havent done is pending and I didnt anticipate it being a follow through due to time since our last discussion.
Also, we are not at 6 weeks. 15-20 working days is 3-4 weeks.
Can you explain too much good press? Is that bad?

I checked my emails with DC and gruntbull, and I mistakenly added 2 weeks to my anno time. They have done the work in the 3-4 weeks that they said it would be done by, rather than the 5-6 weeks that I thought it would take. I'd also like to add that they were quite professional in dealing with my mistake, rather than jumping all over me, which shows a hell of a lot about him.
As for too much good press? It can suck in the long run. I'm known as the "fun" professor in the geology dept (as if anything in geology can be fun to a non major), and because of word of mouth, I've usually got 35-38 students in my classes and labs, when they're designed to max out at 27. But because they'd rather get their science electives done as painlesslessly as possible, I'm stuck grading (and not getting paid for) the equivalent of 3 classes, when my contract says 2.

Seriously, gruntbull is badarse. I had never used return shipping via fedex. I prepaid for overnight fedex, but they had to drive like 30 minutes or so to the nearest fedex place. And they did it to be sure I got it on friday too. I dont know any anodizer that would drive 30minutes to a drop box on a thursday so that I got my gun that week. I think the following week was a holiday, so I wouldve had to wait 4-5 extra days if they didnt do that.
