I think because your index finger is better designed for fine control movement then you middle finger. Usually design create to have middle finger contact point further out then your index finger creates more ergonomic position of your fingers and also less work for your middle fingers to twitch. If you walk you fingers, you will notice you index finger ossilates much smoother and faster where as youe middle finger is more reactionary vibration to movement of your index finger. It because muscle group that control index is much smaller and fine control muscles compare to middle finger muscles which are bigger muscle group design for strength of grip then control.

That being said, I think design similar to 2 and 4 are usually more comfortable and faster to shoot for most people. Of course, your habit and muslce memory will effect how well you shoot over time on any give trigger design. Advantage of our body is adaptablity. However looking at physiological aspect, I think varying degree of 2 and 4 type of trigger is good. Or any design that give more comfortable forward position of your middle finger contact point. Just my thoughts.

Well said shootist, I've never articulated that idea before, but I certainly think the same way when I buy ( / design ) a trigger.

PaintballFourLife: I'll send you my stock 05 trigger, just PM me your addy. Also, another poster gave me detailed dimensions for his 06 trigger, would you like me to forward that information? I realize a solid sample is much more valuable, but I figured I should offer anyways.

Dm6 trigger would be very nice

contour i think if u made a Dm6 trigger for the intercepter it would feel really nice and i would buy like 4. so if you could make one that looks just like a dm6 trigger and i think it would be a huge hit.

It's also the way I've designed triggers, just using logic for the most part. Also I'm the designer for these triggers and it would be great to get the info and trigger. However I don't want you to be triggerless for a while especially if there isn't the demand for the trigger. Also I respect that you plan on making triggers and items but you still are willing to help us .

Also Brc, I will look into the dm6 style.

Taylor.

Hes not triggerless, he made his own trigger out of delrin.

I'm still loving number 4 so much. The cp slingblade design is so nasty.

Another trigger I really liked recently was the one on the Russian Legion Shocker. It felt so natural.

Yup, I have a 1 of 1 delrin trigger installed in my gun right now

If I were moving ahead with my project for profit, I probably wouldn't be very helpful, but now I feel bad for getting everyone's hopes up and not following through so I'm obliged to help somebody get a new trigger out.

for you sir. If you do make Alien triggers, I'd probably buy one even though I already have my own delrin mowing device.

They haven't been started at all but it seems the demand is here. I'll talk to my parter, ultimately it's his choice.

As long as we can get an alien trigger to base our designs off of, we will most likely do a run of alien triggers.

1 question, are the triggers for all aliens models the same?

They are not the same. The 05 Interceptor does not have a tension adjustment set screw. The 06 Interceptor does have tension adjustment, though I don't know how the spacing of the set screw holes differs. The Remains has a smaller, lighter trigger. This lack of standardization may be one of the reasons for the apparent low interest in manufacturing Alien aftermarket triggers.
