I was able to read my LPR today by doing some Ripper2/Onyx crossbreeding.
Disconnected the LP hose that goes from the Timmy frontblock to the incoming barb of the Timmy noid. Ran that hose to the LP output barb of the Onyx LPR. Then I gutted my R2 LPR of everything except the piston so the orings would still seal and air wouldn't leak out of the adj screw in front. Lastly I attached a Hybrid Torpedo reg to the front block. An air fill nipple and a Hybrid nipple cap helped me out as a way to vent and recharge the large air chamber I created after adjusting the ONYX LPR. I screwed the air nipple to the inlet side of the reg and since we put o rings inside our nipple caps it stopped any air from leaking out as long as I was holding it. To vent air, all I had to do was let the nipple cap off the nipple and quickly push it back on.
My LPR is now set at 63 lbs. and I could really notice the difference while doing the old finger in the breach test. I followed that up with a Halo full of what is probably the most brittle Hellfire I've ever seen. I am happy to say that every single ball came out of the .692 barrel I was using. No loss of consistency or dropoff of any kind.
I know it all sounds like a pain in the *** and not everyone has an extra Timmy lying around, but what I did for my quick fix might give you all a better idea of what you can do. I just didn't feel like hunting around the shop for a million different pieces to plumb(sp?) or drill and tap anything.
Revised edition. Now that I think of it...I'll just make a nice one just to serve the Onyx LPR.
