nxt review number 2

Ok so i figured out that im a moron and missed the part in the manual about adjusting the rof. i thought it was only ramping and dwell that you could adjust and i was wrong. needless to say my shocker is now, fast. but it seems like it is starving for air. i think i have the dwell almost maxed out and the guage reads 200. when i start ripping on it, it sounds weird and the guage willgo way way down. i shot about 700 paintballs and my 45/4500 was empty with about 150 left so i shot about 550 before it started to shootdown. which is pretty bad.

So far i like that its light, fast and very accurate.

i dont like the air problem im having and i dont like the trigger.

i ordered a dynasty board m6.1 that supports the nxt bb eye system so hopefully i can get some good tadao board settings and make the gun rip even more.

i need help on the air thing. and i need to know wut bolt to get, wait for the eigenbolt or get one thats already out. thanks guys.

your dwell should be around 30 and the guage reading 200 has nothing to do with your dwell it has to do with your regulator. Actually i think the shocker should yun on no more than 190psi but not real sure about that.

30 chirps is awful low for a stock non-broken shocker... That's 10.5ms. I'd set it to between 43-46 and the gauge to about 190.

i thought thats what they came from the factory set at 30 chirps from the bottom, but i depends on what type of noid you have im not sure if they are using both still but if you have a humphrey it should be high and if you have a parker it should be set lower.

NXT uses the humphrey i believe....and if your dwell is maxed out or really high thats the reason why your efficiency is crap. are you using an LP tank? also are you using the stock SP on/off? I used a stock SP on/off on my dm4 and it starved my gun for air. i switched to a cp on/off and made no other changes and the problem was gone.

try relubing your reg and lubing the critical seals in the bolt. set the reg from 190-200. lower the dwell until the bolt barely cycles, then slowly start bringing the dwell up until you get a consistent rate of fire without "hiccups" from the bolt shooting-down. when the bolt is cycling fully, put some paint through it and watch for any shootdown. when there in no more shootdown, bump the dwell up 2 more notches and you're set. I hope this helps.

Can`t really see how reviews can be justified when in reality it`s basicly the same gun as a SFT. Other than the added (OLD) parts and the breakbeam eyes. The latter of which has been the industry standard for everyone else except SP.

what is your ROF set at? If the NXt nerve board is the same as the ones ion the SFT's then it should be at 0. Unlike every other gun....on the shocker the ROF is actually the "recharge rate" of the gun...lower is better.

if you knew this then just ignore what i just said
