Are you going to try and run it off the UL board or just use the switch and run it off the viking board?

Here is the process i took to use a stock DM5 frame.
lots of pictures:
http://www.spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=5911

I just used the dm5 switch and used the w.a.s. board in the viking for now.

PM5 UL would prolly be your best bet. It's square and if you drill new holes in it it should work. I'd try to get everything running off the UL board, but I don't know if it's possible. The eyes might not like the board and vice versa. All the modes would be cool though.

if you want all the cool modes and such, get a WAS Equalizer board and tell them to flash it to 2.0 code (vikings only) in teh comments box on checkout. teh board its like $25. im diggin the idea, i might possibly look into this when i pick my king up from the guy im buyin from this weekend.

I gotta say, I'm not a little guy, but my little hands love that UL frame. I might have another project soon. WE'll see.

I read somewhere, I think AKAOG, that the UL board would take many mods to work with a viking because of the compatability of the noids.

I Modded A Dm5 Frame To My 04 Viking With Ease, And Am Able To Use A Vrtu Board Now, W/ Stock Settings And The Noid Holds Up Flawlessly. Vrtu In A Viking Is The Most Awesome Feeling In The World. I Highly Recommend Getting It Modded Just For That! I Also Mounted Dm5 Eyes In The Same Area As The Originals, Hook Up To The V Board, And They Works Flawlessly. Tried The Ul Pm Frame, But It Is Too Short, And Doesn't Look As Balanced, And The Ul Dm Frame, Was Fine, But needs to modded too much, + It Just Doesn't Look Vary Masculant On The Marker, It's Kinda Like Putting Chicken Legs On An Elephant. But That's My Opinion. the dm5 eyes can connect to the ul dm frame, in a viking. stock dm5 frame is the best way to go!

Id love to see a video of your gun running on a dm board with stock settings..
Why you ask?

1. Spool valve guns and hammer operated guns run on toatally different dwell settings...Viking 9-11..dm4/5/c setting is 17-19 stock...

2.I think your full of it lol...

Also For the virtue comment.....Um they make a tadao board for vikings..which is just as good if not better than virtue...

Dm4/5/c frames can be modded in under 10 minutes to fit and work with a viking stock board and micro switch..

Ul frame..Not sure if the micro switch is attacthed to the board..If it is, you will most likly have to drill holes for the micro switch mount..

mac noids run off of 17-19 dwell so he could easily be running stock on that.

someone already did this, not sure if it was an UL frame but it was a DM frame. Just look around the AKA forum, you'll find it

Before you ask, no it doesn't work but i could easily make it run off the stock board by drilling a front mounting hole and soldiering wires to the trigger switch. Its my frame off my DM6 so obviously the contour on the back of the frame won't work to be permanently mounted, you would need a DM 4/5/c model.

Just from having it mounted like this I can tell you it would be a bad choice, when you barely lean the gun to the side it becomes top heavy and really uncomfortable to hold. I would stick with the stock frame and put on a stock DM5 frame. Plus IMO it just doesn't flow with the gun.
