If you can get one of these to shoot straight, you are amazing.

your such a freaking idiot, it aint CF for the love of freaking god, if you'd seen an actual CF barrel you'd know the VL ones aren'tmade of any CF material. It's a hybrid material FFS...

As I said earlier, according to VL its 100% carbon fiber blend with matte finish.

This barrel weighs in at about 13 ounces on our co2 scale in the shop. So its just as heavy, if not heavier than most aluminum barrels. A stiffi is what, around 2 ounces? So it seems its kind pointless to make it carbon fiber if it weighs the same as an average aluminum barrel and has a horrible finish on the inside. The 5th ball i shot out of it exploded mid barrel, and it was x-ball silver.

drilling holes

|
you can drill a hole, but you will need a very small metal drill bit run it on slow, thin move up to another size . afterwords use a small file round and clean the holes. then use a still brush a round one like in a drimil snake and polish the inside smoth make sure not to bore the barrel any larger and you'll have a nice ported barrel. it works and it is a good barrel sometimes you get what you pay for but sometimes companies do pit out a good product at a cheap price. one thing to look at the price of the barrel at wal mart is chep because walmart can afford to sell it chep they sell cloths food tools toys movies games, paintball shops only sell paintball walmart makes millions daily they can afford to sell at lower prices. if you were to buy this at a pb shop youd pay 60-80 dollars. think about it its true. hope this was helpful.

Regardless of of what they say, VL will mke anything sound too good to be true to sell it. CF Material (even if you somehow get it in bulk which is impossible unless you have the funds, own an airplane/mility/car manufacturer) is expensive and the process to creative is extensive and very complicated.
Believe me when i say this, IT'S NOT REAL YOU DUMB ****.
|
I do actually. I've laid carbon fiber mat, fiberglass mat and blend mats. Some were heavier than others which would be expected when its more fiberglass than it is carbon fiber. Also congrats on owning so many carbon fiber barrels. You should apply to be a mod here in the barrel forum with all your experience and information.
You forget that Sly, Stiffi, CCM and all the others also hype up their barrel products to make them sound better than the metal counterpart. Hype is what sells in the paintball market and VL should know that just as well as any newcomer since they've been in the business for so long.
Also notice that nowhere did I say it was actual carbon fiber or fiber blend, just that VL said it was. I wont take the time to go buy one and see for myself after seeing the initial pictures but enjoy your vacation for flaming.
