both would work. A few guys have home-modded it like you described so it won't scrap.

It's not a worry for me until I get the gun anno'd which isn't happening for awhile.

PTFE delrin would be a waste for this application. It's not like it's a bolt. Aluminum is good, and at the size of the pin it's pretty much the same weight as delrin and you have less of a chance of it breaking.
