How to Make a Proper Thread in Talk to Mods and Admins

1. Starting with the title, politely give us a hint to the issue at hand that you are addressing. We don't enjoy or care to guess what you want.

Acceptable-Question on Terms of Service
Unacceptable- WTF MODS?!

2. Right off the bat please use at least semi-proper English. We will not translate your sentences for you because just like your time, we value ours just as much and do not wish to spend it translating babel.

Acceptable-I have a question on why my thread was closed
Unacceptable- lyke my thrd ws cloused why?

3. Be upfront with what you're asking, do not ask for a moderator to PM you or get you on AIM as we will not, all our interaction will occur within the thread you have created, and that is the way it shall be.

4. Be respectful to us and treat us in the way you would like to be treated. If you choose to ask your question in a sarcastic and condescending manor you will get a sarcastic and condescending answer. This is pretty much just the "Golden Rule"

5. Post any information we need to answer your questions. Information such as links, screen-names, and other information like the stated examples.

6. Give us time to answer your question. Just because your thread has been viewed by 29 people doesn't mean a moderator has viewed the thread and will respond. Sometimes a thread will even be viewed by a moderator, but they will either not be sure of the correct answer and therefore will not answer your question. For the most part no questions in here go unanswered. Do not Bump threads. If a mod doesn't answer, please wait patiently. If a mod doesn't answer for a full week, please go ahead and post in the thread that you are still looking for a response.

7. Just remember the above and you should do well. Do not forget about the other stickies contained in this forum because they all contain valuable information.

8. Be honest with us. Honesty is always better received than a lie.

9. If you see a user breaking a rule and you would like to inform us, please use the link Report this post to a Moderator.
