OT : Found where Jim Drew is spreading his hype now

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4714231/tm.htm

It's actually a funny read once you realize who is doing the hype.

Well, from what I read, Jim Drew promised some amazing piece of equipment that, apparently, would represent some huge leap forward in RC technology. There is some blind cheering, followed by some very techical questions from engineers, which Jim fails to answer. Sound familiar?

There is also a very funny bit about the website for Jim's RC stuff, in which people found some odd items for sale. Jim denied it, then said he found it, and it was a mistake that no one had ever told him about. A person then said he had told Jim about it a month ago via PM, and had the PMs from Jim to prove it. Ouch.

All this being said, WAS boards are still my favorite AKA boards.

Jim Drew IS WAS.

He has a long history of hyped products, starting before his involvement in paintball.

Notice a striking resemblance? I say someone goes into his RCZone thread and mentions some "History" of his.

I noticed the similiarities immediately but decided against posting about it. At least the RC guys have some league authorities that actually enforce rules on the manufacturers.

SteelRatt pretty much hit my thoughts. I kind of feel sorry for the people who don't know his methods and are jazzed up about his promises.

Looks like someone in the paintball world pointed out his BS. I feel this is the best response by one of the RC guys:

OMG THAT THREAD IS PRICELESS! I love it! Hahahahahaha!!!

I need to dig up the thread where he tried to explain about Dr. Pendulous or something to me, and then his posts were deleted later.
