I sent off my gun to Todd of
http://www.gruntbullanodizing.com to be anodized with a Boondock Saints theme. Before I write my review, I'll show you the pictures. The first picture is to show what it looks like under normal lighting conditions, and the other six are to show off the tattoos and contrast between them and the body (I was also experimenting with the camera). It's black on black. I'm not a photographer, and this is the first time I've ever really taken pictures of anything, so I apologize to you guys for the so-so quality, and I apologize to Todd and crew because it doesn't do their work the justice it deserves. The tattoos are so crisp in real life it's unreal.

I'm not a fan of flashy guns, I prefer subtlety...and that's exactly what I got. The idea was to have a gun that was black on black with a subtle Boondock Saints theme to it. But, just because the idea and final effect are understated doesn't mean a LOT of work didn't go into this gun.
There are 19 tattoos in total. I have a SLY barrel kit, and each back piece (4) has four tattoos (one on each "flat" side of the back, if you own a SLY, you'll understand) of the celtic cross the brothers wore in the movie around their necks. The left side of the gun reads "VERITAS", and the right "AEQUITAS". I own the BDS strap for my proflex (which is all black with a smoke lens and precut softears) and alternated the text on the gun on purpose. So on my left the mask reads "AEQUITAS" while the gun reads "VERITAS". The saying, as I understand it, is "veritas et aequitas", meaning truth and justice. It made sense to me to put veritas on the left then, since we read left to right. This is all done in a celtic font that Todd and crew picked out for me, and I love it...fits the theme perfectly. On the back of the gripframe is a bigger version of the same celtic cross. This was actually Todd's idea, and that idea inspired me to do the tattoos on the barrel backs as well. I know it's hard to tell from the pictures, but the accent pieces that are silver on the stock PM6 are all done in gloss black, while everything else is dust.
If that wasn't enough, he actually made me stickers of the celtic cross tattoo. How's that for cool?
Customer service is second to none with GBA. Todd will make you feel comfortable, help you out, and make sure you get EXACTLY what you want. He answers his emails almost instantly and is willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. In short, I couldn't ask for a better experience. He's professional, understanding, and to top it all off does work that's nothing short of incredible, at a price that's a lot lower than he should be charging for this caliber of work.
Before anyone asks, I will not discuss the price. PM Todd or visit

After this experience, I definitely see why GBA comes so highly recommended.
Thanks again Todd. You sir, are the man.
