What year interceptor do you have? I actually use teflon tape on my front block screw and I've never had a problem with it coming loose again.
I would imagine having a low battery would cause you to have a drop since the solenoid may not be cycling completely. But the longevity of your battery is unusual. I've had the same batteries in my gun since last year and I can still turn it on and rip it.(get that urge sometimes
This is what I would do as a cost effective troubleshooting technique.
1st. I would reset your board. Procedures to do so is in the manual. Eye power and dwell can contribute to batt drain.
2nd. I would check all your wires from top to bottom and then look into buying a new wiring harness at Alien because IMHO I believe you have a exposed wire somewhere giving you a short with the frame which will drain your battery quickly.
3rd. If that doesn't work then call WAS for a board replacement. Should be lifetime, but they no longer have alien as one of their products so IDK.
last. The only thing left to replace is the solenoid.
