Question

Is there a "most reliable" dip switch setting? I have a 12v Revy & they feed 10-12bps, so do you chop if you set it higher than 12bps? If you set it higher, will there be any skips?

Exclamation i find...

When using my gun, i use the first dip switch setting in the manual. Its a 12 bps setting. D-D-U-D It give the maximum amount of time for the bolt to be open out of the other 12 bps settings. Works for me, and i'm using a 12 volt revy.

good luck

If you can shoot fast you will chop at anything over 11bps. but that all depends on your paint. Using a hard shell paint like any of the recycled shell paints you can use settings as high as 14bps. Tourney paint will chop at around 12bps. A good medium grade paint will work well around 12bps. Here's what worked best for me before I got the trinity.

Diablo Midnight and "Generic": 14bps
Diablo Blaze: 12bps
Diablo Inferno: 11bps and I still chopped.

I can use inferno at 16bps and not chop with my trinity. Spend the $75 or so bucks and watch your gun hum at any speed.

I don't know. I've had problems with chopping from day one even with the thickest shell paint I could find. I've had to turn the ROF all the way down to avoid this. All the dip switches down (8 BPS I think). Personally, I think that it's my loader since I have a post-BE 12V Revy.

I just got a wedge (Ricochet-2K). I hope this will solve my chopping problem. We'll see. I'll have the low-down on Thursday night.

Bobbo, I NEVER chop...I have my Matrix set at the lowest setting with the cypher chip (45/45). Before I got the cypher, I had it set at 9bps and never chopped.I think it's down,up,down,up or up,down,up,down one of those.

My suggestion would be to put a Trinity Reg on it and set the gun up to where ever you like and don't worry about chopping paint. Simple.

wait, dont make him think too hard now, he could hurt himself. he could be lost in thought, which is unfamiliar territory.
