Hybrid Push Button Bleeder ASA - REVIEW

So I picked up one of these last week:
http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/...EAAAEHUzQQZJCA

I realize a review for an ASA is pretty lame, but people DO ask which to get

I was in my local shop to get a tank fill to test my recent ups and it turns out I can't actually go in there without spending $50+ more than planned.

Some kid was putting one on his shocker and I asked to see how it works and was impressed enough to replace my year old CP on/off.

I played with it this weekend and it was SLICK. I never realized how annoying twisting the on/off was until all I had to do was push the button. It is also alot smaller profile than the CP.

The ONLY drawback is that you have to make sure you push it all the way through and be careful of bumping it (not easy to do, but possible, I did it once in a full day) since it will cause it to leak out the bleeder hole. The first time I heard the dreaded hiss I was thinking "f*$k my new QEV is leaking" but then I noticed the button was only half depressed

overall I give it a and one more since it was a compulsive purchase

Well, I was reading through this forum and saw 2 posts about ASA's so thought I would post my experience since this is the thread I hang out in.

Yes, I do realize it isn't specifically Ion related, but since it helped out Irishdrunk I don't consider it a waste.

so, then might as well post a barrel review, a tank review, a hopper review, Etc. because people ask questions about those all the time. they have their own respective forums for a reason.

But if no one posted things out of the respective forum contexts then you wouldn't have anything to ***** about.

the thing was, "which asa should i buy" or "what asa is the best" threads are not allowed. so you posting this to "help" people isnt really solving the problem.

My review of the push-button ASA ... not very good. I cant see spending all that money on an ASA that doesnt completely vent the pressure. Yea you will depressurize the marker but due to the design of the ASA, the tank pin is still being depressed -- which, if you try to unscrew the tank will make it ALOT harder, could potentially lead to you unscrewing the reg from the tank, and shredding O-rings. The Hybrid quarter turn like posted above is GREAT. Very easy to turn on/off and vents COMPLETELY since it releases the pin when you turn it off. Plus, its just a personal preference but why leave all that added stress to the pin (constantly open with the push button) when you dont have to?
