A good rule of thumb is where ever there is an oring smear a nice thin coating. So you're looking at the Ram, LPR and Valve. I can't tell you the number of Angels I've cleaned up that looked like every internal was dipped in grease. Angels don't need a lot of lube.

You don't need to be removing the battery for routine maintenance, only if you're removing the entire LPR body.

For removing the ram you can use the official ram removal tool, a golf cleat spike tool, or a pair of mini needle nose pliers.
