The Ultimate Guide of Shocker Triggers

There are way to many people asking what trigger to get for their shocker, it's just getting annoying. Hopefully this can help. THE BEST SHOCKER TRIGGER CANNOT BE CHOSEN BY ANYBODY ELSE BUT YOURSELF! TO FIND THE BEST TRIGGER GO TO YOUR FIELD AND ASK PEOPLE TO USE THEIR SHOCKER SO YOU CAN TRY OUT THE TRIGGER! This guide is just to show you some of the ones you could use.

· Pre-travel: The length of the trigger's forward swing. Screw inward for a shorter pull.
· Post-travel: The length of the trigger's rear (pull) swing. Screw inward for a shorter pull.
· Firing point: The point during the trigger's swing where the microswitch is actuated, and the marker fires. Screw inward for a quicker firing point.
· Magnetic retension: The weight for the trigger pull. Screw inward for greater pull weight.
Trigger pre-travel, post-travel, and firing point are all adjusted via small setscrews located in the trigger itself. The stock trigger and all other Shocker triggers made by Smart Parts (Nerve stock trigger, Nasty trigger, Dynasty trigger, Freeflow stock trigger, Tonton trigger, etc) are all adjusted using a 0.05" allen wrench. New Designz triggers are adjusted using a 1/16" allen wrench. Other trigger manufacturers may use different adjustments.
More information can be viewed on Shocker Triggers here: ZDS Paintball Trigger Guide

Roller Bearing triggers are triggers that generally move more smoothly. You can tell if a trigger is roller bearing by the picture. The triggers that have the silver ring around the hole are roller bearing triggers. Basically they have instead of just a hole in the material they're made out of so the trigger will rotate more smoothly around the pin. An example of a roller bearing trigger is the NDZ Slik and Blade Triggers, a non roller bearing trigger example are the FGM triggers.

There are basically 2 types of triggers, roller bearing, and not. The roller triggers will have an all around smoother feel. Besides that fact, choosing the trigger will be up to you and what how you like your fingers positioned and what you'd like them to feel while shooting.

Below are triggers with as much information as needed including Brand, Price, Manufacture’s Website, Suggested Switch Position ( More info can be viewed here ), and Colors.

Enjoy.

Brand : NEW DeSIGNZ
Price : $30-$35
Website : www.newdesignz.com
Suggested Switch Position : Non-Flipped
Colors : Black, Silver, Red, Blue
NEW DeSIGNZ makes several different triggers that are all exactly the same but have different shapes where the fingers go.
From left to right : Blade, Wave, RIP, Slik

Brand : Custom Products
Website : www.customproducts.us
Suggested Switch Position : Non-Flipped
Price : $35
Colors : Black, Nickel, Silver, Pewter, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Dust Black, Dust Silver, Dust Pewter, Dust Red, Dust Blue, Dust Green, Dust Yellow, Dust Purple
Custom Products or CP makes one trigger for the shocker known as the CP Roller Trigger. The main difference of this trigger from others is that it has a different pivot point for a smoother feel.

Brand : Dynasty
Price : $30
Website : www.dynastypaintball.com
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped
Colors : Black, Silver
I like the dynasty trigger.

Brand : Nasty
Price : $35 (Can be bought for $12, read below for details)
Website : http://www.paintballwholesalers.com
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped
Colors : Black, Silver, Red, Blue
Known as the Nasty X-Blade shocker trigger, I have used it myself and like it very much. Nice thing is it’s very cheap when bought from : Paintball Wholesalers

Brand : A+ Paintball
Price : $40
Website : www.aplusp8ntball.com
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped
Colors : Black
The A+ Paintball(A+ Annodizing) triggers are made out of the material known as delrin composite, and therefore only come in the color black. They are made in three different styles shown below.

Brand : Lucid Paintball
Price : $75
Website : http://www.lucidpaintball.com/
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped OR Non-Flipped
Colors : Carbon Fiber
The Lucid triggers are the only carbon fiber triggers made for the shocker. They are made by one of PbN’s own members. The downfall is that they are so expensive but you must realize that they are made of carbon fiber. A great feature of these is that you can use them on either flipped or Non-Flipped microswitches because there are 2 screw holes that will hit either one.

Brand : Critical Paintball
Price : $50
Website : http://www.criticalpaintball.com/
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped OR Non-Flipped
Colors : Black, Red, Blue
The critical trigger comes with the great critical pro trigger pin for the shocker which is most likely why it is more expensive then most shocker triggers. The critical pro pin is a replacement trigger pin that’s usually $15 that screws on both ends to ensure that it will not fall out. A great feature of these is that you can use them on either flipped or Non-Flipped microswitches because there are 2 screw holes that will hit either one.

Brand : Sick Innovative Customs
Price : $20.95
Website : http://www.sicpaintball.com
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped
Colors : Black, Silver, Purple
The cool thing about the SIC trigger is that it can be set to hug the back of the trigger guard very tightly which allows for more room to walk the trigger. If you need more room and don’t have the money to purchase something like a ton ton frame, this would be a nice upgrade.

Brand : FBM Factory (Fire Ball Mountain)
Price : $23
Website : www.fbmfactory.com/
Suggested Switch Position : Flipped
Colors : Black
Similar to the A+'s triggers, the FBM triggers are made out of the material known as delrin composite. During testing, the rate of fire on the test guns increased 3-6 balls per second using these new triggers. They are made in two different styles shown below, Wave, and Original.

If there’s any I missed or messed up on fell free to tell me.

The A+ triggers are absolutely awesome. It should be mentioned that, unlike the FBM triggers, they have ball-bearings and also include a new trigger pin.

These triggers feel absolutely amazing and make the Shocker frame/triggers feel more like other guns. The only trigger I have used that I can actually say increases ROF in semi-auto.

Added a section about the difference between roller bearing and non-roller trigggers.

didn't redz just come out with some new triggers that look almost exactly like the NDZ ones? I am not sure if there are any for shockers but worth looking into!
