I can't seem to meet a smart down-to-Earth girl.

I can never find a girl that meets my standards, and I never try. Today at the record store (more like CD store), the girl working there was looking at me and giggling, staring over and what not, and she wasn't bad looking, but I just didn't even try for some reason. I know how to pick up girls, I just didn't feel like bothering even though I want a relationship =/

small talk really took you over :-/ ... just start making conversations with random chicks and youll meet one, sometimes its wierd though, i went to the waterpark and saw a hot girl. i asked her if she went to my high school figuring she'd say no. well she said she went to the middle school! she looked a lot older than me but i wasnt thinking and the line was moving so i didnt get any names or digits :-/

ok i really need some help here, remember my bestfriend and telling you how i was inlove with her and everything well i do love her with everything i got but as my friend and well she is dating her ex again. I can understand why she would he was her first , she lost her virginity to him so i can understand why she cant let him go , but he is a total dick he makes her buy different shampoo if he doesnt like how hers smells , he wont let her hang out with her friends (me) and worst of all he beats her , he shook her so bad one time by the throat it made her knees swell up, he was choking her and left bruises on her neck and while he was choking her he bit her nose and made it bleed pretty severely and lastly he has punched her in the face closed fist, and he also cheats on her beyond belief. Now i dont want to do anything stupid im 5'7'' 140 lbs this guy is a 6'4'' 365 lb linebacker for our school well he was but he graduated. I feel like getting into a fight with him but i know that will solve nothing because he will destroy me, and the way he treats her seriously makes me want to cry but i dont cry but it makes me come really close. How can i convince to her as her BESTFRIEND not as the person who loved her like she was my gf but as her bestfriend to stay away from this guy and tell her hes not worth it? Her mom even said that this guy has ruined the friendship between her and her mother and my friend knows it hes destroying her life and i dont want to see that happen.

remember this is me being the best friend i can be , i want to give her the best advice ever. Last time she was with this guy i would get a phone call every other day with her crying and as a friend i really do not want to see her like that at all i know this thread is supposed to be for relationships and hooking up etc but i thought i could get the best response here.

also i think im going to have to approach her about this i dont think the subject will be brought up by her so any ideas on how to break the ice would be greatly appreciated

mmmmmmmmmmmm. I've had a girlfriend for one year, and we love each other, but I'm tired of her bipolar bull****, and she doesn't treat me that great. The only reason we're still together is i think we have this idea of "well if we've been together this long, why stop now?" So, option a is to stay with her, have a pretty good relationship(our relationship could be better) or option b is to break up with her, and go after this really pretty red headed girl I might like. I'm not sure if I like this girl or not, but I would love to date her. We're good friends, and I have to see be around her everyday, and I'd hate to make things weird for us, and I'm not even sure if I could get her. She's only had one boyfriend, and as far as I know she only likes this one guy, but the other day we had been having some good chemistry the whole time we were around each other and I felt like I was getting some signals from her. She said something like "well right now I only like one guy, but things could change."
She also has made it clear that even if she likes a guy, she will NOT let him know, nor will she ask him out, because she has liked this guy for 2 years, and he doesn't even know, and I really don't think he is going to ask her out anyway. Also, my girlfriend is very jealous of me talking to any other girl, and doesn't really like the red head, so I'm thinking that could maybe be a reason why the red head isn't going after me, and because she doesn't want to mess up my relationship with my girlfriend. Basically, if I KNEW I could get the red head, I would go after her, but I'm not sure if I can or not. Any advice?

Tell your gf you need a break, and see how things go, thats what i would do, if you really love each other, you will come back together, if not, then w.e you free to get anyone you want.
