Greetings,
If you are dryfiring without any balls, the eyes will start doing their job - when they don't see any balls, the marker will default back to 12 BPS and Semi.
Set the marker up with the dip switches and forget the LCD and buttons are there.
You will have less trouble if you do this.
If you have to tinker with the buttons and stuff, you will accidently turn the eyes off on a fairly regular basis and chop paint like a blender.
Granted the buttons and LCD are cool, but after initial setup, will cause you more grief than they are worth.
Remember the words of the infamous TV huckster: SET IT AND FORGET IT!!
