^ This sounds right to me. The reg holds an extra shot or two that you did not shoot out after turning off the air supply.

I stripped my first bolt guide. I'll be the first to admit it was out of stupidity.

Correction, sorry bout that. I forgot the SP kits are still being packaged with the re-designed bolt guide. My bad guys,

I think this guy knows something about what he is doing:
All the people telling him, he dis-assembled the gun while it was pressurized. That is retarded. He would deffinitely known if it was gassed up. Air would have bled off during dis-assembly, he wouldn't be telling us about it here if he did. Get of off it. It was a SP quality control F-up. Send it back, and let the thread die!!!

WHAT???!!!! How the hell could you get the bolt guide to screw in all the way if you put something in "upside down". Come on, think man. It wouldn't even operate let alone shoot 300 rounds w/no problems. Stop calling this guy and idiot. He knows what happened. Just try to help him.

even if it was pressurized he would have known when the air bled off. And he wouldn't be like wtf. He would have known what he did wrong. Seriously, this is NOT what happened.

Just chalk it up to SP shi**y quality control. Funky threads is a common problem with smart parts metals. My bottom line threads were stiff as hell the first time I took them out. That grinding sound sure makes you cringe doesn't it.

Send it to SP, this is a SAFETY CONCERN. They will fix it no questions asked. Just imagine if they didn't, you could sue the s**t out of them if it gave you a black eye or worse.

Just send it back asap fill out your warranty card send that in also. They will take care of it. Every company and buisness can and will have assembly mistakes, think of how many they make a day, nobody is perfect. Sorry this happened to you ,but dont mess with and make it worse, just send it back.

contact SP and get estiamtes on the turn around time for a replacement. they have a 6 month unconditional warranty on shockers from the time you purchase them Especially for that production defect. Call them and arrange to get yourself a new one. They may not take it back bieng that you filed a piece. If the rear body threads are destroied, your only option is body replacement.

Sorry for my destruction of English as we know it, can't type so good right now...

those are the threads as current, they are not totally destroyed, but as you can see the 4th and 5th thread from the end are damaged some (nicked and chipped)

also in case you were wondering, the yellowish gunk on the threads is a sealing lube specially formulated for aluminium that seals and lubricates, far better than any generic lubricant.
