mechanical marker choices these days?

used cockers are always an option. but just curious what the current offerings are for mechanical markers. i know of the gog enmey and the azodin kaos. not considering tippman or spyder for now.

Not much else besides all the older mechs. You said no Tippmanns but the Phenom and XVR are totally different from the 98 and A5.

Aside from blowbacks, old 'cockers, the new 'cocker, and of course automags, on which several newer markers are based. Hard to beat a 'mag.

Empire's Resurrection Cocker is outstanding. Pricey, but outstanding.

I picked a older wgp cocker for $70 before a company paid for Pb outing. It was awesome I hadn't shot one in years I forgot how accurate it when matched up with my ul. I had quite a few face shots in the span of a few games. Not sure you could do much btr than that with your money.

Going with "still forsale new" we got the...

Empire Resurrection
Automags (yes, really. Supply is running low though, looks like they only have black and purple centerfeed bodies left)
Palmer's guns of assorted variety. Blazers. Typhoons. The new Lancer (which are totally custom, so expect to pay totally custom prices and have custom wait times).

As stated the Tippmann Phenom and XVR aren't blowbacks like the Model 98 and A5, and you can put the Crossover in this category as well if you want something more sporty. Yes it's also an electro, but you can turn that off and use it as a mech if you desire.

If you prefer mil-sim, most mag fed options these days are mechs. The M17, most Tiberius guns (except the T15), and probably a few others I can't remember are blowforward like an Automag. The T15 is a blowback, but it's a different style than either spyders or tippmanns.

thanks, i think i'm pretty settle between a used cocker or azodin kd2. too new so i guess i'd be paying retail for that one which is only a little more than a used stock trilogy pro. i really don't want to mess with the timing on a cocker since this whole exercise is to scratch an itch, so if cocker, most likely trilogy for me.

I will throw it in the ring, consider a palmers blazer. Expensive but between the various forums and ebay you can find some nice Blazers for silly cheap prices and they are very fun to shoot and shoot very well

FWIW, I haven't touched the pneumatics on my Resurrection since I got it. They're just great right out of the box. Then again, that may be beyond the budget you're working with. Still, prowl around, you might be able to find a good deal on a used one.
