Am

Hey i know AM stopped producing markers awhile ago but i tried all their emails and couldnt get a hold of anyone, I was interested in purchasing all parts they had left, markers, boards, etc. I wanted to start a new owners group online just for AM owners, more like a tech site and where people could go to look for upgrades, parts or just for friendly advice, i havent posted i have just watched for the time being and I feel the need to help.

Please vote on what you think and post any opinions, anything else not related please keep to pm, thanks for you time!

Ah guys, we had one about a year or so that Boomslang admin'd, and I help'd mod. We had AM sponsored contests, etc.

When AM went down, the forum went down - It was actually a pretty nice one that we had designs/logo's/even shirts and such for but never grew.

edit: As you can see, at one time it was linked directly on AM's site.. http://www.actionmarkers.com/forum/index.php

Hey guys. Good to see someone is still alive and kicking out there.

I shut the board off. I could turn it back on if I wanted to, but it makes more sense for us to congregate here, in PBN. Traffic would be far too low, and it would fragment the AM group if we were split between two boards.

IMO, we stick with what we have here at PBN. There's just not enough activity to re-open the original AMOG.

Also, while it is true that I was full admin, I did not have full access to AM's webhost. This means that I could not flesh out the OG as much as I wanted, and could not tweak the aesthetics or anything without first contacting AM_Lynelle. Maybe now that the company is looking quite defunct, they'd let me grab the reins a little tighter. Doubtful, though, and it would be somewhat of an imposition to inquire.

Cheers to all of you.

Dont thank us Boom,

We need to thank you, and all of your work, now and before. If you say stay here, we will, or at least I will with ya.

I didn't know it was that much work. But Im sure that if everyone reads this and REALLY understands, we wont have a problem.

...and the guns we love to shoot still get what they need. Parts, tech, and general knowledge.

For me, the Diadem won't go away. Just rip you apart at 28+bps, from a past time.

Always AM

It's not that much work. Restoring the AMOG to its original state would be as simple as clicking a button. Haha.

The PBN AM subforum receives more traffic than AMOG ever did, though- and with such a small group of users, we should stick to one place. Also, new users have more of a tendency to check this subforum before they check anywhere else. (Not that there are very many new users.)

Also, bear in mind that none of the AM employees (Steve, Lynelle, etc) would be available to help us out with our tech problems. In the past, some have confused me with an AM worker, but I am not. I'm just one of you guys.

To sum it up- a reopening of the AMOG would not be worthwhile because of the traffic would be divided between the PBN and AM forums, and who wants to check two sites every day? Also, we'd still have to help troubleshoot ourselves, because we are not going to have the AM employees posting.

I've missed talking with you guys though

EDIT- I'm starting to have second thoughts. I was told by AM that their web hosting plan runs for a long time. I forget the exact amount of time. However, maybe we could set up the AMOG so that it wouldn't be just a forum. If we had a website with a database of information for each gun, as well as photo galleries etc, it might be nice. The forum would be in the form of a link to the PBN subforum, though. I'm still opposed to more than one forum. Shrug.

We just don't have very many users anymore. Back in the heyday of AM, business was booming and our population was growing. Now, it's very much the opposite.

Pretty good, after I got rid of the DITS, went elsewhere in electo's - Currently switching my whoresome of an aresenal over to AKA and pump (Comp, Carter Sniper, Sniper 2, C3, etc). Graduating this year, working on losing my midigtness , and fixing to go to the beach in, oh, 10 mins or so.

Good hearing you're still alive, try to hit me up on AIM or MSN some time.

Boom, would you still be able to edit code and graphics, even though it's not your own site? I know it can be done with passcodes, but have you checked with AM to see if you would be given clearance? Just curious, because I do miss having a full-blown site, instead of a glorified BBS like here.
