Dye DM8 for 30$
Hello,
I picked this up for 30$ today, this is a new platform for me. Am I in over my head? It needs a Reg, Board, Bolt, the volumizer thingy on the front under the barrel and a few missing screws. just trying to find the most cost effective way to get this together. I figured I'd start looking for used parts on the forums. Where should I look for the missing screws? I tried downloading the DM8 manual in the stickies but its a dead link. Was hoping to find a diagram so I can piece together all the parts\screws I need. On with the Pics.
I searched the stickies but maybe I missed what I was looking for. Out of the parts I needed what years are they interchangeable with? IE. Bolt, Board, Reg, Vol, etc..

For 30 bucks that's a steal. You can sell that trigger alone for 30.
http://www.dyepaintball.com/manuals/...DM7_Manual.pdf
-First of all, I sure that's a DM7 not a 8.
-The DM7 and the DM8 bolt system are the same except for the front cylinder.
-DM6-DM13 boards are all interchangeable i think.
-Basically you can use any regulator you want because it's standard thread. You can't use dm8-dm13 regulators though.
-must get a DM7 flow plug or a CP flow plug.
-I think it's also missing the eye pipe. You can only use either the PM8 or DM7 eye pipe.

How can I tell, the SN is 7D0470042 is there a way to decode it?

Any CP flow plug will work?

It's a DM7. Google both the 7 and 8, they look very different. And I own 3 DM7's.
Not sure of the CP flow plugs. But on ANS gear they sell specifically for each.

where did you get it for 30 bucks? I need to find a deal like that.. that's insane great buy!
Best thing to do is use the B/S/T section here. or ebay
u'll find all of that for less then 100 bucks.
Hardest part is going to find the whole bolt system unless you get a complete dm7 bolt or billy wing bolt then order a dm7 backcap
Now if you want I can rebuild that whole gun for you, for a cheap price. and tune it lube it etc basically get it in tip top shape

Here's what you need:
Flow plug: http://www.ansgear.com/Custom_Produc...plugdblack.htm
Sweet board (better PSP mode than stock): http://www.ansgear.com/Hater_Paintba...terulboard.htm
For the bolt and reg I'd buy from BST. If you plan on keeping it then go ahead an look for a hyper 3 (more comfortable IMO) reg. The stock bolt is best on these, but you can also look for a Billy Wing bolt.

2 shot burst PSP mode is crap. Hater has better PSP, is easy to program and is cheap.

dm6 through 12 boards are NOT interchangable.
dm6-10 will work on this dm7, but dm11-13 boards are different (NT style grip frame)

$100? Dude, follow the link. It's $42 and a stock will cost ~$15 from BST so the price difference is $27. I'd say it's money well spent.

Dye wants 170$ just for the bolt, I found a used stock bolt and back cap for 60$ this morning.
Just need a Reg and some screws now. Are CP's not as good as the hyper 3's?

CP regs work, but look hideous. Spend the extra $20 for a hyper3
