Question Timmy w/ MacDev Glad question

In about a month or so I am plannin to buy a timmy and I am really lookin hard at the gladiator reg... I have a 2-part question for you folk with this setup:

1A- Can you slap a gauge on the gladiator reg's?

and if not,

2A- How do you know what pressure the glad is outputing into the timmy?

I know you can put a couple of gauge's on the timmy's reg's (or something) - would one of those show the incoming pressure?

Or wait... since the glad tops at 500, I guess there wouldnt be a need to adjust to a lower pressure with the timmy(?) - is that my answer?

Yes, I have a palmer stab but its kinda cumbersome to use as a front grip IMO.... so it'll probly sit on my 98 forever and ever and ever.... um ... ok I digress, I'm veering from the topic...

1- No but when you do the LP mod you can.
2-Once the LP mod is done, you place a gauge on the HP reg( the reg right below the barrle, and put you glad on the vert ASA and do you macro line or steelbraided line on the bottom of the glad to your drop or asa adapter on the bottom of the grip, then put your air in with a gauge on the HP reg and adjust your glad, nad take off your air and put the cap back in the hp reg where the gauge was then put it on the LP reg and get that one done.
BTW when setting the glad pressure start the glad at 0 psi input and go up, just a precaution.

omega, thanks for the info but you lost me a bit...

so, basically, there is no way to put a gauge on the macdev?

now, I am probably gonna run the timmy without the LP mod for a whiles first so how would I go about setting up the glad on the timmy minus the LP procedure?

I was thinking that since the glad has a psi range of up to 500 right? so, would it matter if it was at its max setting (since its only 500) when I initially install it? does this work? I mean, to me, I think it shouldnt be a problem... but I am asking you guys cause I dont have hands-on experience (like I know some of you do).

so let me know

thanks

yeah, there is no way to run a gauge directly onto the glad, sounded odd to me too the first time i heard it.
I dunno exaclty how to run the timmy with an after market reg without doing the lp mod. lp doesnt hurt the gun in anyway or deminish performance so why not do it?
Vern or Morphious would know how exaclty since they have a lot more knowledge then I do.

thanks a lot for your info omega... i appreciate it

I guess I'll wait for vern or morph to respond on this thread if they're kind enough to do so...

you know, I was checkin out the timmy pic thread and greenster's gun looks almost exactly how I want to set mine up... I was creaming... greenster, if you read this, you have my gun!!!

the only thing I'd change is the blue 12V... I'd put a smoke one on there...

I use one of these. It goes between the reg and the place in the gun where it screws in and has a hole for a guage in it.
