Important On Nitro Tanks!!!

Ok so here was the problem. The gun would gas up fine then once u begin to shoot the reg takes one shot and goes down then i would have to wait a few seconds for it to rebuild enough gas. So I took it to Xtreme Paintball and they were a little stumped at first but came to the conclusion that my crappy 48/30 pure energy tank wouldnt give the gun air fast enough. So we put a 68/45 on it and it did the same so then he lubed the threads and put it on nice and tight and it worked perfect. He said the 2 pins that are in the end of the tank and the asa werent all the way connecting. So my question is could that be the reason the 48/30 was doin what it was doing because it just wasnt connecting. I spent 200 dollars I dont have to buy it and want to know if this was the right prognosis.
By the way the gun was a SP Nerve

That could have been right, we don't know. You were experiancing horrible shootdown. But it could have been because your asa wasnt pushing that pin on your tank in all the way.

the same thing will happen with guerrilla air tanks and some egos. because the pin is to long on the ego on/off. so you just have to unscrew it 1/4 turn because the pin is to long.

at least thats what the guy at the guerrilla air booth said, so that could be it.
