You are right in saying that it is a personal preference BUT the no-drop way is BETTER than with a drop. To summarize: No-Drop allows a tighter profile (for playing the snake and other miscellanious small bunkers), No-Drop allows you to keep your wrist and elbow in, with the tank against your armpit/shoulder it allows you to hold the gun more steady. Basically all a drop does is balances the weight slightly better...

BL....

So lets take someone.. lets say a girl.. who is 5ft 4" tall. She is a small girl and has a hard time squaring up with the sidlines and still reaching her arm around to the trigger frame comfortable... You say it is BAD for her to put on a drop?

How hard is this to understand. There is a RIGHT way and a WRONG way to stand. I showed that as clear as I could... It dosnt matter what you put on your gun as long as you stand that way.... My hopper could be 5 feet off my gun, but if it is all behind the bunker.. WHO CARES.. Your not going to hit it!

Yeah well I dont like drops but I do use a little one. All of thos elinks showed the same drop I think and its jsut slightly bigger than my Shocktech one... I dont have a problem with little drops and pros use them all the time its just the KAPP drops (1 2 and 3), PB Drops, NW Paintball Drops, ect...

penta shut up. no one should listen to you to begin with because you list your marker with upgrades in your sig which automaticly makes you a squid. second of all, drops do cause technical skill problems. *not all drops, ones shown ie:shocktech, unimounts, cp(shortones) do allow peeps to use screwins at an appropriate position* drops degate technicals skills by making a marker taller.(ask any front player that has any game about this, it does matter), drops make for bad shouldering(if you dont shoulder your marker you are a tard. it increase accuracy and lowers profile when snap shooting), your profile expands(your wrist will stick out due to the bending of the wrist, also promotes bad shooting posture).

and to anyone trying to explain what postions on the field do...STOP! front players kill and provdie pressure, mid players are killas and move the game along, backs keep the paint going and assist the mids with moving the game along. save your rec playing tips for the newbie forum.

*my post doesnt apply to all of you*

The reason aftershock has to use drops is because they have to make up for their machine-gun-length timmies...

timmies are ok, they just feel really funky.

Kapp stubbs are nice, teammate uses one on his backup. But he turns it around. No drops for us.

I used to use drops back in the day, my first one was a Warped sports drop. (2 bars) At first i used the long as one. Then for somereason I went to the smaller bar, setting the ASA all the way to the back. Then I got a Shocktech dropforward, and put a standard duckbill bottomline on it. All this did was put the screwins reg even with the grip (gave the same feel as a mounted tank somewhat). Got rid of it, now I use just my rail from my geddon. Dont like drops. There should never be a KAPP dropzone or and of those other huge drops on a cocker, or any other gun. ahhhhhhhh I just dont understand.

its just that, the fronts dont take out the other players, they ussually dont have that much visability down there, they can only see the backs, not the other teams fronts
Jeez, my job would be a lot easier then. Let me rely this to the rest of my team and from now on I wont even bother caring a gun onto the field.

Wow guys why to fight about something so stupid. Yes i have to agree that rather large drop forwards are peices of **** but short ones like the shocktech stubby drop are sweet. And what is this speedball that you talk of? Is this what you like to call tournament paintball or is this some sweet new type of paintball? "let's go play speedball!" it makes you sound so gay. It's like "yeah man sppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaadddball is the best!" probally no one will get what I'm saying about this "speedball" thing so i will stop now!

there are pro teams that do use drops. It all depends on there setup and there individual prefrence. Trauma uses shocktech drops, and i've seen a few other ama n pro teams, just can't think of names. It's all on the feel they like. The difference between pro players and you guys is that they use drops or no drops because of personal prefrence, not because people tell them drops or no drops are better. Stop doing what others tell you to do, and do what you like. prove which one is better on the field.
