Yes, only once in a tournament. I got shot by my own teamate otb in the leg and just sorta humped my bunker then wiped it when the ref turned away.

if im in the snake and a guy hits me on the reg hand then i roll my gun and wipe...also if i get hit from a guy lobbing paintballs over a bunker and we cant see each other ill wipe

1. Yeah, twice. Once was a shoe hit, the other was something else. I don't remember.

And I've played on twice, I got shot in the shoulder, and was almost sure it broke, but played anyway, the other was a hopper hit during a game, right above the raceway on my Egg, but it was a 4 on 1, and a ref just told me to play it, it was fine. So I did.

2. Im appalled to hear how comfortable most of the posters are with the idea of wiping. It totally trivializes the sport as a whole if you can say, "well we needed to win". So what if you win, at what cost, your integrity? Id go home a loser any day than have to deal with the idea that I was a cheat.

I could give a flying fudge whether or not its an important tourney and everyone else is doing it. How can you say you are a Pro if you dont compose yourself in a professional manner. Its not even like there a huge amounts of money on the line. Im sure a McDonalds manager gets better pay then a paintball pro.

It seems futile to even try to combat it because everyone is so used to the idea that it wiping is acceptable. I guess I just have to cover someone with too much paint to wipe.

2. because i respect the ones who shot me, they did something true which ended a shot on me, so i respect them.. although i know they are wiping; i wouldnt wipe, just because of the respect i have to the game.. you see someone wiping, when the game is over just go talk to that sucker, dont insult and lower your own game..

wiping is an insult to paintball, dont let it happen; and more important thing is dont "interpret" wiping.. if you wiped, you did; you dont have any excuses for it.. you are a bastard who doesnt respect his own game..

1. Never wiped, and no I am NOT a liar.

2. I don't wipe period. Wiping = cheater/loser. To me paintball is hitting without getting hit, not hitting and avoid the ref noticing I got hit. I will walk off the field before I lie to everyone on the field.

Have I been tempted, yes. The field I play at normally is crowded and sometimes you have to wait a while to get into a game. You get in and shot off the break and your like "Crap, now I have to wait again." I enjoy playing and normally just want to stay on the field, but I still won't sacrifice my honor and pride as an honest person to do it.

Nope, Never wiped on my team, my team plays fair and with some honor. Yes sometimes I have wiped before i joined my team

Becuase paintball is a very competitive sport and any advantage you can get over the other team should be used.

Ok now in no way do I or my team support cheating. This is my honest fellings. I think there should be no cheating. No wiping no playing on, no cheating whatsoever. but cheating is done. And there is nuthing anybody can do to stop it. So its best to deal with it and stop complaining. If you dont want somebody to not wipe ur hits. Put 15 balls in his face.

Im sorry to say but yes.

The only hits i ever wipe intentionally are when i running off the break i put the back of my hand in front of my lense and sometimes they bounce but usually dont. so as i reach my bunker i silide with my palm up. Im getting to where now i do it without even knowing. After games sometimes the back guys say hey man i saw that wipe on ur hand, i didnt even realize it that game.

But the way i see it if you focused on wiping your not focused on the game. And if your that bad that you get hit in the leg during mid game you need to practice more.
