Locking Your Own Thread

i've had lots of cases where i wanted to delete my thread buti wanted people to see my last comment on the thread. like if i deleted it they wouldnt be able to read it.

good idea?

Why would you want to lock a thread when you can delete it, who cares if they dont see your last post. We have signatures, you can use that?
You can run, you can hide, but you're still gong to die.

It sounds like a good idea in theory, but I think it would be abused ie. someone starts a thread, which then turns into an arguement, and that person who started the thread [who is wrong] closes the thread just to get in the last word.
