Eye problems...

Ok..three weeks ago gun worked fine. Two weeks ago I pulled it out for practice and it was shooting slow, slow, slow. Green light was blinking telling me everything was a-ok, but I could fire a pump marker faster than this. When I bypassed the eye it shot normal but broke a ton of paint. Everything is spotlessly clean in the barrel, there is no broken paint in it or covering the eye. It still fires slow. Then I thought it might be having a hard time reading the paint I was using, (black and dark green shell) but when I used a different paint with a lighter shell (purple and white) I had even worse problems. I had to break down and use an Angel at a tourney this past weekend. Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest with you , I'm not sure what board I have. The original board went down about a month ago. It was replaced with whatever stock boards are going into the GZ's now.

Three pulls or so for every fire? Sounds like an eye problem with a SOB board. Check to make sure all the wires are pugged in correctly and not pinched anywhere, recheck once again to make sure there's no paint on the eyes, and you may as well make sure that your battery is good while you're at it. If all else fails you may have to give one of the Timmy techs a call. Best wishes.

did you check to see if your ram bumper may be worn causing the ball to roll behind the eye?

Good point! Thanks for bringing it up. The way you check this is to see if your gun fires properly when pointing your barrel more downward but stalls when pointing it more upward than horizontal.

Thanks fellas..I've turned my marker over to the best gun tech in KC (That's Casey at Warped Sportz KC) hopefully he'll get it figured out. Up till now it has been the best marker I've ever laid my hands on.
