No QEV's ???

Everything sounds good but can the QEV's be retrofitted to this marker?

Without the QEV's I am assuming that this marker wll be slower than the Ego.

This is a manifold mounted solonoid, the need for qevs is negated.

Nicky T said it will have a max ROF of about 20 bps, which isn't a problem to reach on the ETek. And like fireman said, ftw.

I am sure someone will make up something. Either way, if it works or not, someone will capitalize on kids and their money....

Look at the AAV. Biggest waste of loot!

Nicky says it'll be able to hit 20+ with no issues, so I wouldn't worry.

There's a 90* elbow in the place of the QEV. From the dissassembly picture I saw in the manual, the solenoid is mounted to a "minifold" but from there hoses go to the 90* fittings.

There is NOT enough room in the frame for QEVs out of the box.

Like every other marker w/o a qev, air will travel back to the noid and vent there.

So the loss of the QEV only effects bps? Does it hinder effeciency, kick, or sound? Sorry, I know about bov's for turbos, but not paintball guns

it really wont hinder much. many people tried putting qevs on timmies to see if it would improve anything. they pretty much did nothing.

It's the same thing minus the QEV's ~ They prolly just guide it differently...All the QEV is really is a guide so you can "operate faster"...

No, QEVs affect CPS and BPS. Why? Because instead of sending air back through the hose into noid (this takes a fair amount of time, milisecond wise), QEVs exhaust the air right out. Thus reducing recharge rates and increasing CPS/BPS

But on the Etek Ego, like was said earlier it is a manifold mounted noid, so there is no need for qevs because there is less distance for the air to travel.
