Timing out

I still get a LOT of timeouts to your server. Ive run traceroutes and pinged you guys and everything is fine. It took me four attempts to attach a pic to my for sale thread and half my replies just hang there for a bit. Some go through while others come up as page not found. Same thing happens with normal page to page browsing.

I chalked it up to the servers but I didnt realize that these are the new servers till I talked to Timebomb.

Anyone else get these problems?

Ok Im still having problems but its mostly when I want to reply to posts. I also replied to three posts in other forums at the same time to make sure it wasnt my end. All the replies went through but PBNs.

Any news on this?

Tony- As of last night I was. To be clear, Im not talking about the occasional timing out. These are times when it takes 3-7 attempts to post a reply. I wait for it to fully time out before trying again. SO, Im guessing its for a few minutes at times.

Im surprised noone else has responded to this thread but me. I keep thinking its on my end but I can reply to many other forums at the same time it happens here. I can at the same time ping gaming servers with no extra lag there.

Anyway, I thought this with all the other little problems (farked pics, triple replies in the same post) might be the result of something larger.....perhaps a faulty new server even.

Then again I know nothing about how servers operate.

I will post here at the time it happens. If that helps any.

Yeah Im still having the same problem. When its fast its blazing......when its slow it times out. I do see a few triple and quadruple posts all in the same minute. This would indicate them timing out and clicking reply repeatedly.

It would be nice if others took the time and reported problems they are having.

im having the same problem as paint_hore
when it is fast its perfect
but then it is slow it times out just like paint_hore said
i doubt its a faulty server maybe just a lil problem

and i know its not on our end paint_hore kuz i can go to other forums and it works fine

I no I have not had a timeout since the new server was purchased and bandwidth was increased.

I ahven't been able to atach to my posts for a good week. Any help would be appreciated.BTW i dont think its my puter cuz i got cable modem...

Heh, cable can be slow because a certain area of people share the same connection, that is why DSL, on average, is faster than cable. This is only on average though. Umm, try finding some web hosting, ask where to get it for free in the computing sub-forum in small talk. That way you won't ever have to worry about the picture being hosted by PBN.

Just upload it the the site that lets you host images and you use the IMG tag with the web address to the link of the hosted image.

Nope they are both cable connections. Separate providers and very fast.

I see tons of triple posts and people timing out when uploading pics so I know others are also having trouble. I just wish they would post too.

Yea, I have been deleting a bunch of double and triple thread posts in Small Talk lately. I NEVER HAVE TROUBLE though.... so I don't know what it could be. This is something Kyle is going to have to deal with.

Well its still a problem. I was having a similar problem at a gaming site I post to and they said it was a bug in the software. Dont know how they fixed it but it seems to work fine now.

When you use the [IMG] tage you have to make sure the 'IMG' is capitalized and that you include the entire and correct web address such as

that is the place where my pic is located.... is it the wrong kind of pic or something? cuz when i post it it shows up as an X in box....
is it wrong to click the IMG button up at the top of the post? or am I entering the web address wrong? I tried click porperties on the picture and then using that URL and it didn't work either
plz help me! I fell as though the PBN users are being deprived of my pretty pictures!
