well it most likely is going to be cheaper (judging by it not having lcd), not "low end" at least not much different than an ego. and hopefully it isnt as loud as an 06 ego.

EDIT- and i dont thinks is a PE ego.

It's possible it's just a port intended to be used if you decide to use a rechargable battery. Maybe PE included a rechargable 9V with the gun. Or it could be absolutely nothing...

maybe, but look at all of the aftermarket boards for the ego. There all leds, and not a lcd display. so maybe PE sayed screw it, and is going to stop using lcd displays.

or it could just be another PL ego, or a lower end version. who know, but i do hope i get to see it in chicago

hmm...it MIGHT NOT be a low-end ego....i mean...its still has ego as its name as someone else stated. As for the LCD screen, it MAY have been moved to the side, timmy style or something.

As for the pricing, paintballace.com has always been known to release pre-release prices...so that MAY not be the case....unfortunately I myself believe that this will be a lower-end ego...unfortunate, as the ego name should have stayed in the higher-price range. Was unfortunate to even see the 05 resale drop down to even a modest 700. If anything, they should have created a sister company like dye created proto to release a cheaper matrix model...would probably fair better with the PE fans

Time will tell anyways...plus we're still waiting for that hybrid proto....but since they're too stupid to release it before competing products (e*tek ego) have been at the least teased to us....they might not sell as well.
