the point of a ram gauge?

so, i ordered a ram gauge and grips for my borgs...
and im realizing now, WTF is the point of a ram gauge?

now, i understand, it gives you the exact lpr pressure, but whats the point of knowing the exact pressure?

i can only imagine its for.. like.. if you lube your lpr and reset it, you can set it back to the original value, but i mean.. is that it? its not that hard to set an LPR.

lol, impulse buying ftl.

I don't really know... I guess some people like knowing their LPR pressure.

I guess if you're having problems and you want to know if air is getting through the LPR?

It just makes tuning your gun faster. Hpr+lpr=fps.

There is no NEED for it, but if you like to "over tech" things...... After your gat is broken in and you know what your readings were you know where to put them whem you are done cleaning and lubing it.

If you ever have problems then you can use it to see what exactly the LPR is doing (honestly, when I first got mine, my LPR was almost 100, which of course I did not know).

my lpr was creeping (slowly getting higher) and causing all sorts of problems and I didn't know what the problem was until I got the ram gauge and saw it happening!

It will tell you if your LPR is creeping, give you a visual on the recharge rate of your LPR, it will let you know if any "upgrades" did anything and after your done lubing and/or rebuilding you can put all your settings back to what they were at without hitting a chrono station at the PB field. If you fix your own stuff it makes the process quiker and almost eliminates the variable of a malfunctioning LPR cause you will know right away.

I bought one cause I won't pay/wait for 2-4 weeks for repairs and I live in Canada and will never send my gun to another country just to get fixed. I also realise that MD guns are so good that I will probably never not own a different kind of gun.

It may not make tuning the gun any faster but if you're having problems you can at least eliminate lpr pressure if you can measure it. I wish I had an lpr gauge for my ego.

technically the ram isnt even in the gun so yea the bolt has no way to move
and there is no way to remove the pressure in the chamber to allow for regs to recharge and wear the orings in

The ram gauge comes in extremely handy for teching a marker. If you know what to look for it is the easiest way to discover where many leaks come from aside from being able to see that your lpr is working and set properly.
