Stripped the threading for the bolt guide, what now?
Yes, I am a moron and horribly destroyed the threading for the bolt guide in the back of my shocker body. The body has the Tag Break Beam Eye milling and is one of the limited run Orange to Yellow fade bodies produced by SP in 03, so it would be a shame to have to trash it and buy a new body. Is there any possibility of saving it?

you can save it.
when i cross threaded my bolt i took it to a shop. heres what they did..
they hammered a bigger allen key into the back of the bolt guide and unscrewed it. the body was fine i still have the same 1. so if the quide is still in there u can try it...
or
if the guide is out already u can get it re threaded.

Thank you. I was able to get the bolt gide oue (I cut a slot in it witha dremel and inserted a screwdriver at a 45* angle) but the threads themselves are pretty bad. Do you know where I can get it rethreaded?

Try different bolt guides. My friends was stripped, and he just swapped bolt guides with somone else and it worked fine.

I tried a stock, Shocktech, NDZ, and Hybrid. I'm 100% certain that it is the threading on the body...

I'll give them a call tomorrow. In the past I have been dissapointed by their turn-around time during the season, so I would prefer to find somebody else...

take it to a machine shop, or if your lucky enough a PB shop with a lathe or mill, theres one kinda near my house back in tampa, he can do pretty much anything if you beg him to (he doesnt often like to get on the machines anymore)

Sp woudl pretty much be the only palce that could help. Machine shops have hte machinery but they don't have the correct tools. The bolt guide threads aren't cut using a tap and the only way to get one made int he correc specification would be to have a custom run done (which would be extremely expensive and leave you with a useless collection of taps).

As told by Stobaeus
...someone who had begun to learn geometry with Euclid, when he had learnt the first theorem, asked Euclid "What shall I get by learning these things?" Euclid called his slave and said "Give him threepence since he must make gain out of what he learns".

Thank you. You just ended my so-far useless efforts to find a machine shop in my area that is able to do it...
