^^^ it's just tight from the factory. Keep at it with some mucles. After you get it off the first time. You won't need the strap wrench anymore. Counter clockwise is how you want to turn it.

heat it some more. Then call Dye... sounds like you might need to get a bottom replacement anyway.

what i do when im having a tuff time getting something loose is spray it with some penatrating oil, then get one of those rubber gripping pads for opening stubborn jars, wrap pad around said item in your case the reg and grap the pad with a pair of channel locks and give a good twist

you know, you can just you dual hex wrenches to take the body apart, thats why it is a separate size on each end, cause a hex set doesnt come with 2 of the same size

also, i'm sure a lot of you go to the dentist.... i hope. the pick they use on you, they usually throw away for sanitary reasons, i ask to keep it and get a new pick every 6 months

Then the bottom piece might come off, leaving you still stuck with the top piece still on. I just used one of those grippers for jars. Worked real well. The dental pick thing is a good idea though. Ill have to try that.

Everything came appart fine on my reg, but the part with the macro fitting does not want to slide off. I can get it about 1/4" and can see a black o-ring, but it doesnt want to come off the whole way. Any suggestions? I tried to pry it off, and just scratched it. Pulled on it, everything. It spins like it should, but doesnt want to pull off........

CUTTER0: If you are talking about the swivel. If the elbow fitting is to deep in the swivel, it won't be able to go over the o-rings on the stem of the body. Unscrew the elbow fitting out... or unscrew it all the way out of the swivel. Then it should slide right off.

Yes that worked. just gave it a full turn, and it came right off. Cleaned her up, and used evil puss. Then lubed the bolt with HS. replaced the 2 clear o-rings on top-hat with the provided buna rings in the evil kit, and now the bolt is very smooth. Just shot her and she shoots sweeeeet!!!

i got my hyper2 from the factory and before i aired it up i decided to clean it. It was bone dry and i found a small thin wood chip or something, a short hair and some dust. i am just glad i cleaned it first.
