OM...Goodness...Public Misconceptions hurt this sport!
The following link is to a thread on one of my favorite sales sites, read through it and you will see how the average mis-informed noob or un-associated party can make the sport look really bad without even trying.
Take into consideration this thread was posted on a site that is visited by thousands of people every day.

Discouraging, but not unusual. I think many shop owners would agree that calls from people wanting gear for unconventional and/or illegal purposes isn't uncommon. At least this guy was trying to find a way to counter the problem(not that I agree with his methods) instead of create a new one. I receive several calls a year from people asking how to remove paint marks off their houses, cars, children, etc.

Meh, they just seemed to be joking around.... What I'm concerned with is the people who claim you almost 'need' to spend thousands these days to be serious about paintball.

Yea ppl like that arent good for the sport in general. Plus shooting frozen balls arent good for the gun. By the time they get out of the freezer and shot they will have expanded with all of the water that has melted hence more breaks. just my 2c's

well, if you think about it, people who play with tippmann's dont exactly play it for the sport...its more like recreational war play.
so yeah, tippmanns are mainly used to shoot punks who do graffiti...i guess.
