New Pandora Excal Code

I haven't seen this posted on PBN yet so...

After taking an insanity pill I decided to write my own code for the Pandora board.

Well it took me a bit longer than I thought but I'm happy with the results.

What can it do:
-Anti Ram Stick
-Trigger AMB
-Firing Cycle Filter
-Dwell in .1 mSec increments
-Full Auto, NXL, 4 levels of Ramp, Response Mode
-Full Auto Breakout on first trigger pull
-Sniper Mode ( This one is fun in the woods)
-Predator stype trigger programming - it will actually blink back the setting like WAS
-It won't lose its settings - Dare you to do it. If you do I already have another protection layer to add in ( but I don't think I need it).
-Eye test mode
-Dry fire mode ( turns off dwell ) - because I could cycle the gun and not annoy others in the house

What it doesn't do:
-Tourney lock does nothing currently
-Vikings are out luck - I'm tinkering with Viking code but they have WAS 2.0

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for how you use it. I cannot guarantee what VaporWorks will do but heck everyone is selling the boards for $25 now.

rMod Beta Code

I am only considering it Beta because it has no Viking support and it's only been tested on a few guns so far.

Have fun.

I have used this code on my '04 Excal and it rips. No problems, and you can easily switch between PSP/NXL/etc. and semi via the trigger. All the adjustability you need is in there, all from the trigger.

Hmm...interesting....very cool....

I wonder if it would be hard to do up a version of Vlink to support changing the options.....

If Pontiaccer is using the data space of the EEPROM to store settings, I am sure something could be worked out fairly quickly. It would just be a matter of stripping down and reworking the Vlink UI for his options, and writing the correct values to the correct locations in the memory space.

That is of course, if he's wanting to do that.

Same data space as the current UI just moved to a higher memory location to avoid the current Vlink writing to memory.

Yes, this is a ressurrection, but do you think I can mod this enough to use in my chaos (B2k style) angel? I believe it is the same chip...

I thought about this for a coupe of days. I really don't see any gains. It was never an autococker to begin with, would eat the battery at a horrendous rate, and would render the eyes fairly useless. What gain is there for the bolt to stay open long after the ball is loaded?

Are you asking if you can modify my firmware to run a chaos boarded angel? I have no idea. I honestly have no idea if it is the same chip but even more importantly if it's using the same i/o pins to control the board.

My code only vaguely resembles the stock code in that they use the same board.

I wrote my own source code and compiled it to create the firmware.

Currently in my free time I'm working on some Viking code. So far it's still in a simulator.

In theory I could port the Viking code to another board but would need a board of that type to test

I checked, the 2k4 board I have and pandora share the same chip.

I would expect that they're using similar outputs, but no way to check for sure I suppose.

Testing my Viking code tomorrow on the field. Firmware is now both Excal and Viking in the same file. I think I've found all the obvious bugs between all the hours logged in simulation or shooting at targets.

Lurker27 been walking the Chaos firmware through simulation. Think I have the io pins figured out if your still interested.

Very interested. If I knew how you're compiling, and I had some code I could probably shift it around and make it work. Don't know how interested you'd be in that but I am probably proficient enough to at least cut the legwork out of the coding.

Tested for 2 weekends on the Viking. Never had a single problem except for running out of paint.

Put the new code on the link in my sig and updated the manual.

The code does show it's version in Vlink now. Figured that out and it should show up as version 4.16 with a battery voltage of 20.0 . Don't worry about the Battery voltage it's not real just something I was using to help keep track of what build I was on really. Pandora's don't measure battery voltage.
