It will be harder to turn, and you'll lose some air, but it's not a big deal.

you'll be ok...the inline reg is the reg you grasp usually while mowing faces..the reg will take the pressure...keep your tank, high pressure tanks will equal NO shootdown

no, not to the reg at least...i say high pressure all the time...more then most regs can take it...i would still check with steve though...............high pressure will wear your reg more, but the low pressure = shootdown

when your just whaling down on back right, and then your gun starts to shoot the balls at a lesser distance........basically, your reg takes the pressure from your tank and lowers it, then your lpr (low pressure regulator) lowers it more...then it goes through the solenoid and all that junk......so say your operating pressure is 230, and you have a lp tank...the lp tank puts out about 450 psi...well, imagine in high rates of fire that the LPR doesnt get enough air to further put threw the gun...thats shootdown...high pressure tanks would put in about 800 psi (i think), so the air is more pressurized, meaning your lpr wont starve from not getting enough air ...............no matter what, your inline reg. will depressurize the air flow to whatever is needed for the lpr to opperate correctly
EDIT: a lot of this was info. that i think you should just know, so i put it in there

oo so basically keep the stock reg and have a high pressure tank cuz the lp reg on the gun will lower the pressure or the high pressure tank?

That's exactly it mean. in fact, in my hand is MY 04 BKO with the stock vert/inline reg, and a Guerrilla Air FUKU Assault HP tank. works like a charm, except all bko's chop like none other.

the only reason to change regs would be for consistency...keep the stock one though
for chopping, just get an empire, halo, or vlocity...youll still probably chop some, but thats a new forum....
