remain compared to ego

Hey i was thinking about buying an ego because i really like them, but i cant find anyone selling them. I did find someone selling an alien remain though. Ive heard from alot of people that the two guns are similar. Can anyone tell me some simmilarities and differences between hte two? Im not asking for your opinion on wich one is better, so I hope this isnt considered a VS thread.
Thanks

remains is lighter than an eg06, it might be a tad bit faster with the new noid, roughly 1800 shots off a 68/4500, and they have the sweep trajectory. they also come with WAS board, an AKA clamping feedneck, and CP reg. Frame choice will also be available soon. i don't know much about the ego, i'm sure people will chime in soon.

similar guns, basically summed up by Acacia...

Remains feels better than a Ego to me (06 star frame). Wasn't really a fan of the ego I shot a few times...

Preference.

CP Reg + Was + More Accurate (even though i'm no fan of WAS)

Yup, preference. They're both very reliable and are backed up with some of the best customer service in the industry. Really can't go wrong either way.

Remains also has that new WAS noid. Which is supposed to be incredible. It also doesn't have the offset feed system.

The new noid won't appear until the next batch of markers. Then, it will also have Equalizer V3 code.

Differences between the two.... as mentioned, they are similar but Jack would want us to add that an EGO is more like an Intimidator than a Remains.

EGO: ram/shuttle in a ram tube (a la timmy)
Remains: piston-like ram housing/block with the solenoid directly attached to it (the structuraly independant ram housing).

EGO: 3 hoses (again like a timmy)
Remains: one hose

EGO: QEV's to help with cycle time
Remains: no need for QEV's

That said, you can say that they are all "hammer hitting a poppit" style of operation.

EGO is a nice marker for sure and you'll have the benefit of more after-market parts for it as its a well-established marker. So, I'll chime in with the chorus of "user preference"...

I think there's a pic with an Interceptor next to an EGO in the Alien Picture Thread.... but then again, maybe it was somewhere else...

That was my old Interceptor with my old EGO....

I have sold both of them though. I have a Remains and a Dragon Timmy now. I will see if I can get a picture of my Remains beside one of my teammates EGOs to give you a comparison.
As for which is better? they are all excellent markers and all shoot great and never have let me down.

the ego looks a little shorter, but almost over-developed as far as milling and what not goes. the alien is so simplistic that it could almost even be considered a "sleeper gun" with todays youth (in paintball's sence), as everything is based on looks. "ooo ahhh, those dragon and species timmys look cool, they must be good. wow, that ego looks sweet, it must shoot great. aww, that little crappy gun with a funny body and funny eye covers must suck, after all, the guy didnt waste extra money on cool designs." oh i wish someone would say that to me, i would have a field day with it.

note, this post was not dissing timmys or egos, both are sick, just using them for reference

Louder than a Trix and quieter than an Ego.

I.B.C. I don't understand your question.

like a remains is as good as an ego, what would be a gun that is equal to a Interceptor.
