i agree, its not a world war (it's not even close)

BUT if you'll look at WWI's "powder keg" of secret alliances and treaty's, we may have somewhat of a powder keg of our own, albeit not with secret treaties.

We've got WWII's "Axis (of Evil)"...all we're lacking is a crazy fundamentalist dictator wanting his religion/beliefs to reign supreme (oh, wait a minute......)

seriously: we're lacking a few key elements...one is SERIOUS allies, besides Israel. Second is the "Axis of Evil" working together, although a lot of middle eastern countries are tight with eachother.

^ Honestly, and the scathing left of PbN can hold me to this, but the people of Iraq are endebted to US. A quarter billion dollar crude gift would be VERY much in place.

63 dead soldiers a month (not counting the 17,000 wounded), for a war, Colin Powell is now saying is unwinnable unless we send in more troops. and again these are estimates...some months its over a hundred US dead, and some months only 30 or so.

to me, and please don't take any disrespect here, but that does not sound like Iraq is dead.

sounds like the violence is getting worse to me.

That's accually prety low, considering that more than 1 person dies every second.

hahahahah those shirts are awesome

bush is a smart guy. he wouldn't say this is world war 3 if he didn't mean it. didn't he go to harvard? i'm sure he's read the history on world war 1 and 2. and if he thinks this is world war 3 i'm kinda dissapointed. where are the nukes???

All of you are idiots. This is no war. Its not even a DECLARED war. There hasnt been a declared war since WWII. Constitutionally, the Iraqi "War" is far from war.

If it was a war, our entire economy would be contributing to the war effort. No more cars and gas guzzlers, no more tv's and mp3s, no more games or taking your lunch break.......planes, jets, jeeps, the draft, WAR BONDS and such are what our economy and our country would revolve around. If we are at war the entire country should be at war...but its not...this is just monkey business...business indeed, and for no other reason.

The words coming out of President Bush saying "its WWIII" is only a hyperbole of what our government and the media claims.

So, do you think there is a possibility of an outbreak of wwIII by the end of the decade, and if so...Do you think Bush(or who ever is leading our country) will Reinstate the draft?!?!!

I seriously doubt either will happen by the end of the decade.
