Ball Detent...??

I'm posting this question for a friend. He just got a brand new 6.0 and was having a ton of chopping problems. I found the info here about drilling the holes to reduce blowback. We did that and it improved tremendously.
He is still copping though. More than occasionally I'd say but nothing like before.
I took his gun apart for him (he is an extreme newbie by the way) and noticed that the ball detent was a little plastic stick. It seems to me that the ball detent alone could chop up a few balls.
Does anyone know if this might be the case. If so what type of ball detent could he buy to put on the gun to fix it.
I'm only familiar with the one on my spyder that is a round ball-bearing that seems better than whats on his gun.
Also any ideas on what else might be chopping paint. Its definately NOT barrel breaks. He is using a 12v x-brd. by the way.
Thanks

the ball detent sucks in the JT. It is too small and the plastic that it is made out of does not do a good job. your friend needs to get a new ball detent for him to stop chopping all the time. it will also help him from double shooting balls too.

Finally, someone replyed...thanks.

But where can he get one and what type fits a JT. Do ball detents from some other brand of gun/guns fit the JT?

JTs take spyder parts so it stands to reason that it takes spyder detents too

From what I recall when I last looked at his gun, the JT has a ball detent with one screw to hold it in, and the spyder I used to have had 2 screws-one on each side-to hold it in. I could be wrong but I'll take a look next time I see his gun.
