Compulsive Edge Bolt

hey guys
i was wondering if anyone has tried out the new bolt from Compulsive.

Looks really good and i'm really considering getting it, i have a 2k2 body that i'm working on, and i'll be using my 99 back block and aka lightning bolt for now until i have a solid decision on the new bolt setup.

I'd like to hear anything you guys have to say about the bolt, but this bolt is at the top of my list.

thanks,
marc

I like the compulsive bolt a lot. If it wasn't for the fact that I needed a 99' for my westwood, I would have bought the compulsive bolt. Plus, Jom is the best to deal with.

I know

I've dealt with Jom a few times

i'm just waiting for him to get his MacDev stuff in (need detent and TiRod kit) and free flow valve.

I'll get the bolt later since i don't really need it right now, but in the mean time i would just like to hear people's experience with them.

Mac stuff is in (just not on the website yet).

Pro stuff should hopefully be here before the week is out... bolts, hammers, valves, and all the good stuff

Lemme know if you have questions.

I like the bolt a lot. Although the plunger backs out a lot which caused me to drop my pullpin during a game while moving up, and having to just sit there the rest of the game. So when you get it, wrap the plunger in teflon tape to make sure it doesn't back out. Besides that I love the bolt.

Hey Jom

well once the valve is in i'll place my order, no point in making two orders.

Also, does the MacDev TiRod pump arm have the collar that attaches it to the ram shaft?

The picture on your site just shows the bare arm

Also, is it true BOA stopped making barrels?

Thanks,
marc

The Edge bolt i great, all delrin, super light, 2 o-rings to reduce blowback, slot cut in for adjusting the lug, and vertical pull pin.

Does the bolt come with the ball thingy (for lack of a better word) inside the bolt for the evo style pins (which is needed for vertical pull pin set up) ?

Thx Dave

Quicker to the type than me.

Ironically, BOA called a stop to everything. As far as I know, I had their last 20 or so barrels. I've only got about 6 left. I couldn't figure out why I was getting several calls a day on them until a customer informed me that they were pretty sure BOA had called it quits.

It's a shame too... still one of my favorite old school barrels.

Yeah

i guess my bro and i should consider ourselves lucky, we both got 14" of pure Boa SS Express goodness

his on his matrix
mine on my cocker(s)

BOA had some amazing barrels.

Compulsive bolt for me it is, just gotta wait until the body is finished.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I love my 12 inch boa snakebit (bite?).

Kinda sucks that they called it quits, they are some awsome barrels.
