Hey does anyone know how to take the black paint off the gripframe so just the silver from the metal comes through? Thanx for your help.

piantstripper - comes in a long spraypaint can. just spray the whole thing and let it set for 20 minutes... it just slides right off the frame beautifully, as long as you covered eveything.

use gloves, make sure you dont touch with bare skin.

and it wount be a shiny chrome as you may think. it will have all the imperfections of machining and material inconsistancy.

1. Remove reg, guage, body, trigger, grip, board, power button sticker and asa from ion
2. Pour acetone into tupperware container till it covers the bare frame
3. Put lid on and soak overnight
4. Use small wire brush and/or steel wool to strip the black paint off while in the acetone.
5. Wash hands

Paint remover will take care of it in about 15 - 20 minutes.
