Yin Yang Delimma

I have a Sonic Yin Yang bolt in my 2k1 STO and it is a real snug fit.

It is delrin and I know I'm not supposed to oil, but when I play it seems the bolt is so tight that it seems to hesitate and I chop a lot of paint. But when I put oil on the bolt the problem seems to go away.

Will the oil do any damage to the bolt?

And why the heck is the bolt so fat?

Oil over the short term wont hurt it over the long term it may. Bolts are made to a general diameter to fit every autococker out there......they are variations in the bolt and in the bore of your gun.

my warped sportz delron bolt fits perfect in my gun but is a total pain in the butt to get through my back block, i have to pull on it about as hard as i can to get it out of my gun. it goes in ok though. so i think just the back part of the delron was slightly swolen when i got it. i dont know if it would be ok to sand the back down a little or if i should continue to use it like this, because like i said, it fits perfect in my gun and performs flawlessly, just real hard to get out.

Prolonged exposure to oil or old paint that is not cleaned out will cause the delrin to swell...which would only worsen your problem.

My friend had the same exact problem with his Yin-Yang Bolt. I took the o-rings of and now its smooth as butter! It still seals perfectly, no blow back at all.
