black music taking over?
ok this not to be racist or a flame thread but lately i been seeing more and more rap, r&b, and soul on tv than rock and metal. i like black music (sorta) but constantly i keep seeing black music on VH1,MTV(stop watching mtv cause it is now mostly rap or r/b), and some other music channels.
believe me i dont want this to become a flame or a racist post but i just find it sad that rock and other forms of music are being surpressed by rap,r/b and soul.

Yeah i was just watching TV and i turned it off because all they were showing for the past 30 minutes was rap r&b or soul on MTV, MTV2, and VH1. You think MTV and MTV2 could coordinate something so that one of them is playing rock and the other one playing rap, but i guess the hip hop culture is what sells now.

If you have DirectTV then go to 816, its all metal, all the time. wow, mtv still plays music? I stopped watching that channel a long time ago, whenever I would turn to that channel it would be the stupid ****ing real world.

I am not a fan of rap too much, but I can't see how you could call it "black music". Even if you aren't trying to be racist, that is flatout racist.

If you didn't want to come across as even slightly racist, you would have not referred to rap/r&b/soul etc as "black music." Rock being supressed by rap? Why should it matter to you what genre of music one chooses to listen to? I hate rap a great deal, but never will I ***** about music.
Shutup, and listen to what you want.
