The reason for it costing more to be powder coated black is because they have to use silver solder to solder the gun together, if they used the regular solder the gun could possible come unsolder when the powder coater put the body in the bake oven to cure the powdercoat. It has nothing to do with the brass it is the solder. As for the kick, you might notice a little, but there really won't be any. As for the for the guarantee, the is a 1 year ful warranty. After the one year they are still very helpful if you need help with your gun and will even work out a payment plan if you need to go that route. My velocity with 12 grams stays pretty consistant, +/- 3 to 4 FPS, I cannot tell you what it would be as my gun does not have an asa for constant air.
