***DYE/Proto Manual downloads thread***

DM4 Manual: download

DM5/C Manual: download
DMC Board - Setting and Function: Addendum 1.1 To the DM5 Manual

DM6 Manual: download<---if this link does not work, try this DM6 Manual
NOTE: 5 turns out on LPR in manual is incorrect.
75 psi is the stock LPR setting. On the DM6 and PM6... 75 psi is around 3 turns out. The DM6 and PM6 basically have the same LPR... and 5 turns out on this LPR turned to be 100 psi when looking at a gauge:
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1403217

Dye techs have already verified this on this thread (look at Ed-Dye Tech's post):
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1990839

NOTE: DM6/PM6 LPR outer o-ring typo
The 3 outer o-rings on the LPR are listed as 012 BN70 in the DM6/PM6 manual. This is an incorrect o-ring size. The correct sized o-ring for the 3 outer o-rings on the DM6/PM6 LPR are 013 BN70.

DM7 Manual: download

DM8 Manual: download
NOTE: There is a typo in the DM8 manual. The LPR should be 2.5 to 3 turns out for 75psi. NOT 5 turns out.

DM9 Manual: download

PM5 Manual: download

PM6 Manual: download

PM7 Manual: download

PM8 Manual: download
NOTE: There is a typo in the M8 manual. The LPR should be 2.5 to 3 turns out for 75psi. NOT 5 turns out.

PMR Manual: download

SLG Manual: download

09 SLG UL Manual: download

***NOTE***
The PMR/PM7 stock board has 3 firing modes + 1 (Semi, PSP, Millennium, and hidden mode NXL thread by NickA5)
***NOTE***

If you want the UL frame Manual, download the DM6 Manual.
or...

The Real DYE UL Frame Manual: download
Un-Official UL Frame Manual: download
^^^
Thanks to LuisV for creating the Un-Official UL Frame pdf file:

go to the ***What Board? Chip? need Manual thread*** thread

TEXT Version: UL Board Colors and Programming
Blue - Boot Sequence
Red - Breech is clear, no ball (eye on)
Green - Ball in breech, ready to fire (eye on)
Blinking Red - Eye is off
Blinking Green - Eye failure (see DM6 Board, page 5)
Blinking Blue - Indicates a low battery, battery should be changed as soon as possible

Configuration Mode
The following settings can only be modified in configuration mode. To activate the configuration mode, turn your marker off and set DIP switch 2 to the ON position. Next, turn your marker on.
The LED's cycle through all colors for one second to indicate that you have entered the configuration mode. To cycle through different settings, pull and release the trigger. Configuration mode has 4 settings that can be changed.

Green - Trigger Sensitivity
Values 1 - 20 (factory default 5)
Trigger sensitivity is the amount of time that the trigger has to be released before the next trigger pull is allowed. In some situations with too low of a value, the DM6 can register more trigger pulls than what was actually pulled. This can cause the DM6 to shoot full auto, even in semi-automatic mode. To fix this, set trigger sensitivity setting higher.
Red - Dwell
Values 1 - 30 (factory default 18)
Dwell is the amount of time that the solenoid will be activated. Follow these steps for the best way to set your dwell:
• Remove loader and any paintballs from the DM6 marker.
• With the dwell set at 10, start increasing the value until the marker begins to fire.
• When you reach the setting where the marker begins to fire, get some paint and a loader and go to a chronograph.
• Increase the dwell until you see no increase in the velocity. This is the optimal dwell setting to be used.
Blue - Rate Of Fire (ROF)
[When Anti Chop Eye (ACE) is deactivated]
Values 1 - 20 (factory default 20bps)
The ROF setting is used to set the maximum rate of fire of the DM6. The values do not correspond directly to a certain
Balls Per Second (BPS) value. You will need to use the table below to locate your desired maximum ROF setting.
The factory setting is 20 (30bps).
Value = BPS
1 10 11 15.6
2 11 12 15.9
3 12 13 16
4 13 14 18
5 14 15 20
6 14.5 16 22
7 14.7 17 24
8 14.9 18 26
9 15.2 19 28
10 15.4 20 30
Yellow - Firing Mode
Values 1 - 3 (default 1)
This setting changes the Firing mode of the DM6. Default is semiautomatic. In the semiautomatic mode, one trigger pull shoots out one paintball. The PSP/NPPL mode and The Millennium mode follow the rules of the
paintball tournaments series.
Value 1 - NPPL/Semi automatic Mode
Value 2 - PSP Mode
Value 3 - Millennium Mode
NOTE: You cannot turn your marker off with the power button when the marker is in configuration mode. You must first set DIP switch 2 to the off position.
TO CHANGE THE VALUE OF A SETTING:
  1. While in configuration mode, pull the trigger and hold it for more than one second. The LED will flash to
indicate the previous setting. After that, you can set the new value with the trigger. For example, if you want
to change the trigger sensitivity to 7 units:
  2. Cycle through menus by pulling and releasing the trigger until the LED lights GREEN (trigger sensitivity).
  3. Pull and hold the trigger until the LED starts to flash (factory default for trigger sensitivity setting is 5 units,
so the LED will flash 5 times).
  4. When the LED stops flashing, pull and release the trigger seven times in a fast pace. The new value is set
after you haven't touched the trigger for one second. The LED will cycle through all colors to indicate that
the new value is saved. All other configurations are changed the same way. Just as in part 2 above, change
the mode to RED for "dwell" or BLUE for "ROF" to change the desired configurations.
  5. To exit configuration mode, set DIP 2 to the off position.
EXAMPLE ON PROGRAMMING FIRING MODES ON STOCK UL BOARD:
  1. To activate the configuration mode, turn your marker off and set DIP switch 2 to the ON position. Next, turn your marker on.
The LED's cycle through all colors for one second to indicate that you have entered the configuration mode.
  2. While in configuration mode, click the trigger rapily till you get to Yellow (firing mode).
  3. When you get to Yellow, Pull the trigger and hold it for more than one second. The LED will flash to indicate the previous setting. After that, you can set the new value with the trigger. Example: click the trigger 2 times to set it to PSP mode.
    1. Value 1 - NPPL/Semi automatic Mode
    2. Value 2 - PSP Mode
    3. Value 3 - Millennium Mode
  4. The LED will cycle through all colors to indicate that the new value is saved.
  5. To exit configuration mode, set DIP 2 to the off position.

I have posted this a couple of times in other threads but they got buried quick.

There is a problem with the page where the manual downloads. It tries to open the file using Internet Explorer instead of adobe.

When you click the link, choose save instead of open.

Change the name of the file to anything.PDF. The .pdf is the important part, the file can be named anything.

Computers use the file extension (the letters after the period) to decide what program to open the file with. The default file name is index.html. Your computer tries to open it with Internet Explorer instead adobe acrobat reader which uses .pdf files. Changing the name and saving it will fix the problem.

If this diesn't make sense to you, pm me and I can try to better explain it.

If you get the page with the jumbled characters, just wait for it to finish loading, click File-> Save as-> and then click the drop down box for 'File type' and choose "All Files" . Name the file "manual.pdf" or something like that, as long as its .pdf at the end. You should be able to open it then.

you need to go to right click, save link as, then when it comes up name the file. for example PM6manual.PDF the important part being that you put .pdf in there. Then it will work.

I see a lot of requests for the UL Frame Manual, so I created this "un-official" one. Hope no one minds at Dye, if they do let me know and I will remove it. It's also a .pdf file:

i don't really understand the differences b/w the ramping modes. I know they shoot quite a bit faster but like what are the values in bps that they ramp up to? for example... i pull the trigger three times and i get nine shots or something like that. I also heard some ramping modes are activated after 3 pulls of the trigger?
