palmers male stabilzer problems

I put my palmers male stabilizer on my spyder today and screwed in my co2 and the pressure gauge showed 500psi. now its a low pressure spyder(ndz valve, venturi removed bolt, polished, yada yada yada) anyways when I screw the prssure adjustment screw on the regulator in or out the prssure reading on the gauge wont fluctuate. and i know its not a broken gauge because if i lowered the prssure on the reg nearly all the way the gun would obviously burp. What dyou guys think is the problem?

Did you shoot? YOu have to shot it to get the pressure to go down afteer adjusting.

so you lowered the pressure all the way, choking the marker, and the gauge still said 500?

what range does your gauge operate at? Ex. mine's a 1200 psi guage...

i unscrewed the adjustment screw nearly all the way and yes i have a bob long 0-1200psi gauge.

Are you using the stock adjustment screw with your Stabilizer?

With the end of the set screw about flush with the bottom of the Stabilizer, you should be seeing around 400 - 500psi.

You only mention that the marker burps when the adjustment screw is nearly out of the Stabilizer and not whether the marker works otherwise. Does it work and you're just concerned about the pressure reading on the gauge?

You could try taking the gauge off (plug the hole), turning the pressure all the way down on the Stabilizer (counter-clockwise) and slowly increasing pressure until the marker starts to work properly.

Palmer's claims 10 shots after each Stabilizer adjustment to allow the regulator to 'settle'.

yes its the stock adjustment screw, and i can NOT lower the pressure on the regulator low enough for the marker to burp. sorry if i wrote that earlier.

You have to fire a few shots everytime you turn the regulator screw to bring the pressure down

Unscrew the reg screw completeley out, then shoot the gun. If it still has pressure after 20-30 shots, send the reg back to palmer to have it serviced.
It shouldnt allow anything through when the screw is all the way out.
