Exclamation Dark Shocker vs. Other Private labels

I am in the market for a new shocker. I decided against getting a stock shocker because of the cost for the upgrades I want are like $300+. So i started looking at private label shockers. which one comes with the best bolt/board. And has the best performance right out of the box?

I like the look of the dark shockers most but if anyone knows id appreciate it if youd tell me what bolt and board come with the dark shocker. and if you need to buy anything to make it better.

I think he is just looking for suggestions of what to get. I have a dark shocker and i love it, you should go to pbreview.com and look at the PL shockers. I dont think you can go wrong with any of them.

theyll all shoot basically the same

just get whichever one you want. basically, you need to consider the amount of money you can spend and which PL bodys milling you like more

it means that you can't ask us which one we like better, even if it is 2 shockers. Just read the stickies.

The only real difference is the milling. Some shockers have a open bolt while others have a closed bolt. Nasty, Ton Ton, Dynasty are closed so you can use the evolve or NDZ ULP bolt. The open bolt markers like the Dark, Shock Tech , etc , you are unable to use the closed bolts. They also have different sized trigger guard. Personally i went with the Ton Ton because i have clubs for hands and liked the bigger space. Hope this helps

Hybrid is the best one out of the box. It comes with all the upgrades you ever want minus a board.

great frame with a larger trigger guard.
On/off with air bleed.
HE bolt kit.
Ball detents that won't blow out.
rail drop instead of that SP angle drop.
great feedneck.
good trigger.
good grip.

Only thing I would do to a Hybrid is get a dynasty board then I would be done with it.

I have a dark and I upgraded the following.
on/off, rail, HE bolt kit, Ball detents, virtue board, feedneck and freak kit.

There aren't any closed bolt Shockers (other than the pt), all of them are are open bolt. However there are open body and closed body Shockers. There's a compatibility chart on www.zdspb.com
