If you google "free webhosting" you can actually find some places that will give you a small amount of space for free. If all you want is an advertisement page with some rates and directions then that would be fine.

Free sites aren't that professional, though. I would suggest finding a developer who will give you a good deal.

That reminded me of that commercial with the cave man camera crew and they were like.....so easy a cave man could use it...ha ha
Anyways, you can purchase a domain for like $5 and hosting for a year is less than 50$ at 1 and 1 ( www.1and1.com) plus theyll send you free software that is great!

www.freewebs.com
It's totally free, you get 7 pages, can upload music/vids/pix and you don't get spam after registering. Extremely simple to use, but you can make a professional looking site for free.

Pop up free?
If there are, it's not professional.
At least pay for hosting. HTML is the easiest language to learn, so teach yourself. People hate pop ups and excessive ad banners. PBN and Ebay are about the only sites I can stand with this many banners. Statistically, people will stay away from sites with pop ups. This means they are less likely to purchase the product/service. Godaddy.com has hosting rates as low as $3.16 per month! They are one of the most reliable hosting companies.
I say all of this from experience as I am a web developer. I have been working in the field for 3+ years. I'm not associated with Godaddy in any way other than as a customer. If you have any questions concerning what it will take to get you up and running, feel free to ask.

my geocities site is NaSMAYHEM.tk
it looks decent,if you design it right then it can look semi-professional.

There's the catch. It all comes down to what you want...cheap or good. Remember, your site is usually the first impression of your field on potential customers.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to get business (but I'll take it if it is available). I'm just telling you how it is from the general business standpoint.

1) Go to http://www.godaddy.com and register a domain name.
2) Spend 5 or so bucks a month on some inexpensive webhosting. These guys http://www.deltawebhosting.com/
will set you up with 500MB of space for less than that.
3) Learn to use a program like NVU, http://www.nvu.org to create your webpage.
If you're trying to make any money off your field, take the time to put up a proper website. The tiny investment of money and time you'll make will pay off when one person visits your site and makes it to make a decision to play on your field or not.

As for a crucial component of your site, let's go over content:
1. Make contact information extremely easy to find
2. Post prices for every day you are open (if you have different pricing on different days)
3. Have monthly calendars that show which days you are open and any events that are going on
4. Upload a printable copy of your waiver/release and make sure to attach the field rules
5. Have lots of high-quality pictures of the field and proshop if you have one
6. Make sure you create a proshop page (if you have a proshop that is) that includes items available for immediate purchase, ordering in advance, and full pricing
7. Post the rental stats (marker, loader, air source, mask, any other things included with rentals)
8. Make it clear which types of tanks you fill and fill prices, make sure if you fill HPA that you say if you do 4500psi fills
9. Have a nice map and directions available online
10. Near the said map have a picture of the field from the outside so people can recognize once they get relatively close
11. Have a brief history of your field (when it was established, what types of fields, etc.)
12. Make sure you have an email address for people to ask questions or place orders
13. Say which brand of paint you carry (Marballizer, Premium, Fuel, etc.)
14. Have a FAQ page and regularly update it
15. Post group rates and any specials you have
Good luck!

I personally like freewebs...a lot of teams have websites on freewebs too. and you can make a forum at proboards if you choose.
