The original metal ones didn't have as good a sticky holding them in place, and are rigid so they don't flex with impacts. That means they come out a little too easy. So I changed them. If you have an original goggle you probably have the bad foam also.

Send them in so we can fully update them.

Question for manike

from what i have seen manike, you were part of the production of events and are the one to come to when in need of event answers. i really need a new pair of goggles and i was wondering if you could tell me the real time that the events will be coming out. ive heard may and ive heard next week, so i was wondering which is more accurate. please answer when they are coming out to the best of your knowledge.

thank you in advance

Good idea.

I don't give out release dates, and I don't work in production or sales. So I can't give you an answer. When I can give answers on things such as this it's because I see the product in the warehouse and it is about to go out the door.

i read a ton of them and all i have seen are posts from people who heard from other people and i have heard they will be out in a week or two and i have heard they will be out in may, the only information i have heard from someone official (manike) are reasons why they keep getting delayed, not an official answer on when they will be released.

edit- i dont mean to post things that have already been said but i would like to know if they will be out soon or in a couple months, because i desperately need new goggles

Somebody help me... I'm almost positive I know the answer, but not 100%. Aren't the Avatars and the E Vents the same, except Empire makes the E vent? If there are differences, what are they? Sorry if this has been asked, but I saw this question and...

Thanks... So the only real difference is the soft-ears and the Empire badging. Cool.

Yep, and the strap. The Empire strap is a colour matched 'Empire Logo' camo. It actually uses the logo shape to make the camo effect. Inside it has the usual silicon beads AND little silicon empire logo's for the best grip out.

The Vents strap is the same quality but a simpler design (less colours used). It still has the silicon inside it etc. but not the cool little Empire logo's.

'nother question

Well Manike I see yo PM's are disabled, pretty smart choice too

Well you suggested that I send in my eVent that I bought at Cup to get it updated with everything new. Could you tell me how long that would take? Also could you PM me all the address info and what to include when sending it off

Thanks bro. I think I've fallen for the hype (just hope that's not all it is). I have a relatively brand new Invisioin I3, but I think I'll be adding E-Vents to my collection. If Invision lenses were as easy to replace as the E-vents, I would maybe just use them, but I like the ease of the e-vent lens removal. I'm not a "white goggle" kind of guy, but I'm really digging that color as well as the yellow.
